Unexpected
Chapter 38
*Chloe’s POV*
We’d returned home the day after our beautiful baby girl was born. My mom and Tess had arrived about the time we were leaving the hospital so they were there to welcome Darcy Elena Styles into the world.
“She’s beautiful!” Tess exclaimed when she saw her for the first time. She had Zayn’s arm draped across her shoulders as she leaned down to look at Darcy.
“Isn’t she?” Harry agreed with a huge smile.
“I just love her so much,” my mom added. I was still so happy that she supported me throughout all of this. Most mothers would be angry and unsupportive but she’s been there for me through it all with phone calls and emails.
I smiled and watched everyone look at my daughter.
“Where are Liam and Aleanbh?” Tess asked.
“They should be on their way,” Niall said. Everyone was in our flat except for those two and their son.
Everyone cooed over Darcy until the doorbell rang and the happy couple walked in with a baby in their arms. Aleanbh had Troy held safely in the crook of her right arm where he lay fast asleep.
“There they are!” Tess said.
She ran up to Liam and gave him a hug while Aleanbh passed Troy to me so she could hug Tess.
“I’ve missed you so much! How’s America?” Aleanbh said.
“It’s boring as always,” Tess answered, letting go of her.
“Well you graduate in a few months, come live with one of us!” Sammie suggested.
“I’ll talk to my mom about it,” Tess told her.
I laid Troy in the crib with Darcy where he continued to sleep. I watched them silently for a while before I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and came face to face with Harry.
“Can we go to the living room for a minute?” he asked. I saw everyone else heading out of the room already so I agreed. I followed him into the living room and sat on the couch.
“As you all know, Chloe and I have been together for a while now and I’m glad to call her my girlfriend and the mother of my child,” Harry said standing in the middle of the room. “But I’m sorry to say that I don’t want to be her boyfriend anymore.”
I felt my heart drop and tears started to well up in my eyes. What was I going to do with Darcy? She was born yesterday! How can he leave me like this in front of everyone?
I watched him closely as he never broke eye contact with me. I was studying his face so hard I didn’t realize he’d reached into his pocket and pulled out a box.
“I know we’re both still very young but we have a child together so I figure now is as good a time as any. Mrs. Douglas, I told you what I had planned and luckily for me you agreed so now it’s time I tell everyone else what’s on my mind.” He knelt down on one knee in front of me and opened the box to reveal a beautiful diamond engagement ring. “Chloe Douglas, will you marry me?”

I'm not writing my note in the "Notes" section this time and there is a reason for that. That is because this is THE LAST CHAPTER OF UNEXPECTED!!!!! Yay!!! Before you all freak out about this there WILL be a sequel and it's going to be called "The 2nd Generation (Sequel to Unexpected)" but don't try to look for it because I haven't posted anything yet. I'm not sure when I'll post it but it will be soon because I'm so excited to write it and when I put it up I'll upsate this story with the first chapter so you'll know when it's up. Thank you all for sticking with me through this story and I loved writing it. You're amazing <3 See you in my sequel!
