the end of the beginning

I arrive to my first period class and I'm the first one in the class. "You must be maddie" the teacher smiles at me.

"yes sir that is me" I smile at him and take a seat in the front of the class.

"I've heard much about you . All good things that is" he chuckled. "I'm mr.hauber"

"what about me teach?" Niall smiled a beautiful smile at mr.hauber.

"ahh you are Niall. I've heard things about you too" he shook his head doubtfully.

"hello there " Niall winked at me. Oh yay he's the last person I want to hit on me.

Niall took ok a seat beside me and then someone took the other seat beside me as well. I looked over and there Brady was.

"hi" he smiled at me.

"Hi" i returned. I felt my face flush so I organized my books for class.

During the middle of class I felt something nudge my side. I look over and see Niall gesture a piece of paper in my direction. I shake my head no so he throws it at me.

I take the paper and quietly open it.

I just went through all that trouble for a hey!
you are an idiot-I reply and throw it back at him while mr.hauber was turned towards the board.

He quietly chuckled as he scribbled on the note.
wanna hang out after school?-he wrote.

Why would he want to hang out with me? I wasn't even sure if I liked him. He was friends with zayn and I don't like zayn.

i was brave and replied no before I threw it back and finished writing down notes.
