the end of the beginning

I stormed away from Maddie, angry for a reason I was unsure of. Something about Zayn drawed me to him. He was dark and mysterious and... I liked it.

I rounded the corner and saw him walking towards me. His eyes sparkled, and one rolled down to make a perfect wink. I felt blood rushing into my cheeks.

I was flushed with embarrassment, so I speed walked to my locker.

Maddie walked behind me with a surprised look in her eyes. It was most likely from the argument we had earlier. For some reason Zayn has that effect on me. I looked around the hallway and nobody was paying attention to me.

only one girl was. She had long brown hair with a few pieces of dirty brown in it. She wore the usual school uniform except she had a leather jacket over the white shirt. You weren't supposed to do that... "hey" she shouted at me.

I looked around as if to ask 'me?'. She smirked and laughed. Then she began walking towards me.

"yes you stupid" she said as she reached my locker.

"hey I'm-"

"Sadie, yes I know" she laughed and began pulling up my skirt and un-tucking my shirt.

"what are you doing! And how do you know my name!" I shout-whispered as I felt the back of my thighs being noticed. This was so humiliating.

"one, I'm making you look like you belong in our group. Two, Zayn finds himself attracted to you so we are letting you in our group" she smiled up at me from tucking in my socks.

"so you have to make me so gawked at" I looked around at all the boys gazes. This was so awkward.

"umm...yeah" she laughed. "Cmon sweetie lets get you ready for first period"she punched my locker twice and it opened.

"whats your name!" I yelled at her as she walked over to her locker again.

She laughed as she turned around. "Im Stephanie"

I grabbed my stuff and ran to science.


The bell rang just as I reached the door.

First day, first tardy.
