Embers

Zoey's POV

We made our way towards a blanket set up in the field. It had a picnic basket on it as well as 2 glasses with soda in them. I sat down on the blanket, he did also. I looked down blushed before looking at him to see him smiling at me. I smiled back, giggling a little.

"Did I ever tell you how beautiful you look?" He asked me admiring my eyes.

"Yes,Niall." I said chuckling. He opened the picnic basket and took out a 2 pound bag of gummy bears, PB&J sandwiches, 3 containers, one filled with watermelon(YUM!), grapes, and oranges.

I ate a sandwich or two (more like 5) , some watermelon and a few (10) handfuls of gummy bears. Niall put everything away except the grapes name moved it to the side. He laid down on the blanket looking up at the stars. I laid down next to him. I rolled onto my side to admire him. He noticed, and rolled over too. We stared into one another's eyes for a moment.

He looked nervous. "I know this is a stupid question but.... Is it okay if I kiss you?" He asked in a whisper, as if it was a stupid question. Which isn't cause I would have asked the same thing. My face flushed and I nodded. He slowly leaned in, putting his hand on my exposed cheek. He's lips met mine. They were soft. He was so gently. Emmy was right. He's a total gentlemen.

I wish I could stay in this moment forever. As fast as it started it was over. We looked up at the sky once again to see that it had rain clouds over it. Minutes later it started pouring. Niall stood up, pulling me with him, and started dancing with me in the rain. I laughed and smiled up at him. We dancing for a while until it stop raining. I snuggled into him putting my head on his shoulder. He and I started laughing. He soon leaned in And kiss me on the cheek.

He pulled away, grabbing the blanket and picnic basket. Before we started walking side by side back toward his car. He grabbed my hand, and we kept walking.

"Hey I was wondering if you wanted to come over tonight..and you know like spend the night?" He asked quietly. So he wants to have sex with me. great! He must have seen my expression. "No no! Not like having sex or anything cause I don't want that. Ah shit! I didn't mean it like that! I just meant like spend the night no sexy required. I should really shut up now..." He said jumbling his words together. I smiled.

"Sure I'll spend the night. I just have to stop by Harry and Emmys to grab my pjs from Emmy." I said. The truth was I need to borrow a cute pair of pjs from Emmy but whatever. This was the best first day I've ever had. I think I'm falling for Niall. Hard.
