Harry is Middleston's shut-in, feared and hated by every member of the county. Harry isn't tormented by inner demons nor was he the victim of an abusive childhood. Harry is a serial killer. He is driven by a malevolent intention: revenge.

An unorthodox circumstance causes Harry to cross paths with Louis - the bookworm with no self control. For Harry, meeting Louis has made the most frightening parts of him less so. For Louis, meeting Harry has brought on a fear in him that is worth a shudder or two.

Harry becomes obsessed with Louis' every move. His over-possessive nature rapidly roots itself in this relationship. Louis is his friend. Only his friend.
