Harry

The sun was starting to set. I glanced at Erin and saw her smiling at the ground. She looked pretty in the setting sun. I don’t think she realized that she was taking my breath away. She didn’t know she was so beautiful... Hmm, maybe I can make a song out of that...sounds catchy.

I nudged her with my arm and smiled. “So...”

Erin looked up. “What?”

I looked away, still grinning from ear to ear. “Nothing.”

Erin laughed. “I guess I didn’t realize that Domino’s was such a long walk.”

“It’s fine with me.” I said. I suggested a closer place, but when Erin suggested Domino’s, I jumped at the chance to take the long walk with her. It was perfect, and I didn’t mind walking in the cold with her. Just then Erin shivered, and rubbed her arms.

“Oh, do you want my sweatshirt?”I asked, pulling it off of me.

Before she could say no, which I knew she was about to say, I stopped us both and gently pulled it over her head. She blushed.

“Thanks.”she said.

Now it was really cold out. Good thing I wore a long sleeved shirt underneath today, and good thing I’m a gentleman.

Pretty soon we got to Domino’s. Loren and I go here all the time. She always gets green peppers on hers. That’s just something I know.

Erin ordered just cheese.

“I’m a really picky eater.”she explained. I got a cheese pizza too, just because I didn’t want anything else.

We sat down in the place and had a nice time chatting. I learned that Erin’s a big fan of Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs. She talked about how great they were the whole time when I asked what her favorite music was. I thought it was cute.

“So, why’d you come running out of the school today like someone was in labor?” she asked, finally getting to the question that was most likely on her mind the whole time. Oh, crap.

“Um, nothing, really, I...uh-”just say that you really wanted to ask her out and you have been for a while now! “I just...wanted to...talk to you, because I was going to go home alone and I saw you and I thought I could strike up a conversation.” Great. Way to go, Styles. What an award-winning excuse. Erin’s face fell just the slightest bit.

“Oh, well, I'm glad that you did. Otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten a free pizza!”she said, covering up her slight hurt. Ugh, I have the worst excuses. And, yes, I did pay for her food too. Like I said, I am a gentleman. I smiled back at her, trying to communicate with my eyes. Erin, I really like you!

“Maybe you could take me home, too?”

Hmm, Take Me Home, that sounds like a really catchy album title. I’ve gotta start writing these things down.

“Sure, my pleasure.”

We finished our pizzas and left Domino’s. I felt the happiest guy in the world.
