We accept the love we think we deserve.
Louis
Drama was fun as usual. I got the usual laughs at my jokes. But what I really wanted was Leah. She was just so fun to be around, so bright. We were like, the same people. Towards the end of drama class, Leah, Loren, and Ellie had to do a little skit about love, or something. It was a cute little scene, where Loren had a long monologue about how much love wasn’t meant for her, and Ellie was trying to persuade her otherwise. Leah was the love struck one who couldn't control her love for her boyfriend and she played it amazingly well. It was funny to watch her get all starry-eyed and stupid when the other two asked her what she thought about love.
When it was over, Leah, Ellie, Loren and I walked out of the theatre, talking and laughing.
“I’m starving!” Loren whined.
“Ah, shut up.” Leah and Ellie said. I got why this wasn’t so offensive to a sensitive person like Loren. It was just the their way of friendship. They did that to each other all the time.
“You sound kind of like my friend, Niall.” I said.
“Awwww, Loren and Niall, sitting in a tree...”Leah began.
“Wait, who’s Niall?” Loren asked.
“I believe that he has a class with you.”Ellie said. “I’m in the same class with both of you, I think.”
Recognition slowly filled Loren’s face. “Oh, I know him! He’s the one with the Irish accent!”
I laughed. I knew that Niall had a crush on Loren. He was super shy about it and hadn’t ever talked to her before. He was very jealous of me, though I hate to even admit it.
“Now that I know who we’re talking about, can we get something to eat now?!”
I patted her on the head. “Alright sweetheart, calm down.”
“Let’s go to Domino’s.” Leah said. “It’s close to my house. We can just bring the pizza there and hang out.”
“Perfect.” I said, secretly ecstatic that I would get to go over to my crush’s house.
