When Louis, Loren and Ellie and I finally got to my house, I had a great idea. I was super bored and wanted to do something fun. So, I suggested a party. I knew someone was having one tonight and I think kind of knew him, so...why not? I dragged Ellie and Loren upstairs to do their makeup and such. Loren grumbled the whole time because she wanted her pizza.
“Shut up.” I smiled and told her, helping her with her eye-liner. She seldom wore makeup. Her face was pretty enough without it, but tonight was a special occasion.
Ellie went through my closet in hopes of finding a dress that would fit either her or Loren.
“You have absolutely nothing!”She complained.
“Shut up.” I repeated, this time aiming it at Ellie.
We all laughed at our little inside joke. Louis called up the stairs.
“I’m inviting a few people, I hope you don’t mind...”
I laughed. “Uh, I hope this kid doesn’t mind. I think his name is Jonathan or James or something. I don’t know. This boy named Ivan told me about it, not even the host.”
“The more the merrier.” Loren said. “Ow! I poked myself in the eye!”
“It’s mascara, not a sword, don’t hold it like that.” I said, prying it from her hands and giving it back to her the right way.
“Thanks.” she said sheepishly. I shook my head.
Ellie managed to find pretty tops for each of us and we put those on. When we all walked down the stairs, Louis whistled, a piece of pizza in his hand. He sat on the couch, with the television turned on to soccer, or as Louis calls it, football.
“Well, well ladies! Leah, you look fabulous. Loren and Ellie, you guys look stunning as well.”
I tried not to be too worried that Louis singled me out. I wanted to stay friends, and not be anything else, but the way Louis was acting lately, told me that he wanted more. I wasn’t ready. I laughed at his reaction anyway and curtseyed. Ellie laughed. Loren just went for another piece of pizza.
“Tonight will be awesome!” she exclaimed with a mouth full of pizza. We all just laughed.
