Over Again
Scared
"She doesn't want to talk to you." That's the first thin I hear when the nine year old opens the door. "Just leave, alright? I know your leaving in like, a couple days anyway."
"Please, Brandy," I say. "I need to speak with her. It's important." She shakes her head, but then suddenly is pushed to the side.
"Come in Zayn," Ella says, "we need to have a talk." Nervously, I obliged. We went down into the basement, which had been made into another den. I sat across from her, on the couch.
"Zayn, I can not believe you," she said off the bat. "Do you realize what you've done?!" She looks at me, her hands thrusting in the air.
"I just..."
"You've broke her, you bloke! Again! You know what she came home saying? 'Im the one leaving this time.' "
"I was just scared, Ella!"
"Well brilliant job, Zayn." She crossed her arms. "You shouldn't have come back," she spat. "You should've stayed with the rest of the boys. Now look what you've done.l
"IM SORRY!" I yelled with such force that made her jump back, walking away from me. I heard a whimper, and saw brandy come back from behind the unclouded door.
Ella wrapped her arms around her terrified sister. she hushed Brandy, but I could tell I'd frightened her, too.
"She's not even here," Ella spoke with a cold voice. "Just go, leave!"
