In a Heartbeat
E-minor
After I had rewritten that part, I played the song on my guitar, singing along with it.
"Definitely not a good song choice to play in a children's hospital," I joked when I was done. "I guess I'll have to play the meatball song!"
Niall stared at me, confused. "The meatball song?"
"I'll tell you later. I just want to get this recorded before I forget how it goes," I said, dragging Niall into the studio. "You know how to work a soundboard, right?"
He shrugged. "Kinda sorta not really?" He said is as more of a question than an answer.
"Good enough."
Harry's POV
I busied myself with wiping the counters in Melody's kitchen. They were already spotless, but I was bored. And I still don't know where everything is.
Guess that needs to change.
Later. Melody might get mad.
"Wut up, Hazza?" Louis said, walking into the kitchen.
I threw the washrag into the sink and wiped my hands on a dish towel. "The sky."
Louis smirked. "You've been spending too much time with Melody." He tossed me a can of soda from the refrigerator.
I opened it and took a sip. "She's spending time with Niall right now," I said, nodding toward the basement stairs. I leaned on my hand, which was on the edge of the counter behind me.
"And you're okay with that?" he asked, raising one eyebrow.
"Why would I care?" I asked nonchalantly, taking another sip of my soda.
A clattering sound came from the direction of the basement stairs. "NO! DON'T GO BACK DOWN!" Heather's voice shouted. I saw a flash of her hair as she ran down.
"I got 'em!" Melody shouted.
I shifted my weight back to my feet and straightened my shirt by pulling it down.
Louis' eyebrow went higher. "Because you just did that."
I rolled my eyes, but I felt a blush creep into my cheeks.
Melody appeared in the doorway, holding two long, shiny sticks that disappeared behind the wall. A rolling sound could be heard from the entryway. The front door opened. Melody grinned.
"Let's go!" Heather shouted, then the front door slammed.
"Go where?" I asked, setting down my soda can.
Melody turned her head toward me and her smile got wider. "Hockey."
Notes
Okay, I'm SO sorry for the wait. I've been ungrounded for five days now, but I really hate this chapter. I tried posting it four days ago on Wednesday, but I accidentally closed the tab.I'm blond for a reason, guys.
Okay, so this isn't a Melody's sport chapter. It's a Heather's sport chapter.
And, I guess, since Heather is based on my older sister (and Ella is based on my little sister), my sport, too.
Which leads me to my next matter of business.
I'm in hockey this year, and the season lasts until March, for those of you who don't know. Which, I'm guessing, is probably most of you.
But that's just an assumption.
ANYWAY..... because of hockey, I will probably be updating less. I'll try to update as often as I can, but it might be hard. I'll have to check the hockey schedule and work around the practice times and games/tournaments.
And homework needs to get done, too. Coach says that grades are more important than sports, so I'm going to need to study more, too. But I'm pretty good at finding time to do other stuff. But I'm getting an iPhone soon (because I didn't quit hockey and I'm actually TRYING to get better at it), so I may be able to update on the road when I don't have internet access. I just have to be careful not to go over my data limit.
But I don't know how long it's going to be until I can get it.
So that's it for now, I guess. I'll be updating soon, because I have like, two or three more chapters already written. I just need to type them up. That's my least favorite part of doing this. I write the chapters in a notebook, then type them on here and post.
Imma stop verbal vomiting and leave you guys be now.
AND NOW TODAY'S RANDOM QUESTIONS FOR MY WALRICORNS.....:
What sports are you in, if any?
HEY. Your official-unofficial announcements sadden me. No promises or not, I really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY hope you decide to eventually continue. I won't even be mad if you do a rewrite but dude, you gotta do something. I WILL DIE IF THIS STORY DOES NOT CONTINUE.
