Darcy 2

"She thinks she's sooo cool just because she's in a senior class. I bet she used her parents money to get into that class. I mean, what's so cool about piercings and a tattoo anyways!? Ugh!" I said ranting to my best friend Alyssa at lunch about Skylar.
"Dude chill out. She's just trying to hit on Justin to make you jealous. Darcy...this is your senior year! Are you really going to let an under-class man get to you"? Alyssa asked me while playing with her bleach-blonde hair that was in a fishtail braid.
"She's not just any under-class man. She's a girl named Skylar whose totally rich because her dad used to be in a band.
"Wait. Skylar Hemmings"? She asked excietedly.
"Probobly. Why"? I asked.
"Dude she's totally awesome! She plays drums in band just like her dad's friend did", she said picking at her salad with a fork. She's been trying to go on a diet because she was overweight but I have no idea how long that's going to last.
"Who's her dad"? I asked.
"Luke Hemmings. Remember that band that used to be together called 5 Seconds of Summer"?
"Oh my goodness yes! That can't be her dad", I said.
"Oh it's true. How do you not like her"? She asked.
"There's just something about her that I don't like. Something about the way she looks at Justin makes her seem dangerous", I said.
"He's not gonna break up with you for her, trust me. And speaking of, where is he"? She asked. He sat with us everyday. I looked around the cafeteria carefully until I found him. Nate was next to him and Skylar was across from them! That's it.
"I'll be right back", I said to Alyssa. I got up and walked over to there circular table.
"Hey Justin. Can I talk to you for a minute"? I asked. Without an answer from him, I pulled him away and dragged him out the cafeteria doors. We were the only two people in the hallway.
"What is your problem"? I half whispered, half yelled.
"What do you mean? I'm sitting by Nate to make him feel more welcome", he said.
"No I know exactly what your doing! Your trying to make me jealous by sitting by Skylar and trust me babe, it's working", I said as my eyes teared up.
"Darcy, why would I ever try and make you jealous? Your my girlfriend and I love you!"! The words 'I love you' made my stomach drop and I loved that.
"Aw. I love you too", I said quieter. He leaned his head down and he was about to give me a kiss. All of the sudden, the cafeteria doors swing open and it's Skylar. Justin immediately pulled away and looked at her.
"Justin quick! Nate needs you"! She said. He walked away from me and went into the cafeteria leaving Skylar and I in the hallway.
"Really"? I asked with a frown.
"Yup", she answered with a huge smile. She then turned around and walked back into the cafeteria doors. I hated her so much! I started heading for my locker. I was not going to walk in there with her in there. Alyssa can just throw away my tray.
"29. 13. 39", I said outloud while dialing my locker combination.
"Hey stranger", Xavier said, showing up out of nowhere.
"Hey"! I said happily.
"I really need someone to talk to right now", he said.
"Are you okay"? I asked collecting my things for Spanish.
"Not really. You know how I told you about how my cousin lived with my mom and I because her parents were killed"?
"Yeah why"? I asked.
"Well she had a brother a few years younger than her that ended up living with our grandparents. So my mom just texted me saying that he was found dead", Xavier told me. I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him and telling him everything was going to be okay. I looked up at his face to see somebody very familiar. Where have I seen somebody that looks like him before?
"I hope they find whoever killed him", I evantually said.
"Me too. Whoever killed him, is dead to me! He was my role model"! He said breaking down. Tears slowly rolled down his cheeks.
"I'll be here for you every step of the way"! I said as a promise. All of the sudden, the bell rang.
"Except for maybe now. I have to go all the way over there for my next class and yours is right here", he said. I laughed at his little joke.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow. Bye"! I said smiling as he walked away. Poor guy.
