Chapter 14

*Darcy's P.O.V.*
"I had an amazing time", I said as Xavier walked me up to my front door.
"I'm glad you did! Me too. Maybe we could go out again sometime"? He suggested. His eyes were more blue than they usually were.
"I'd love that", I said quietly. I shivered as the cold September breeze hit my bare legs.
"Have a good night Darcy", he said as he reached down for a hug. All of the sudden, we started leaning in and then awkwardly pulled back. I couldn't kiss him. I was just with Justin.
"Sorry", we said at the same time. His cheeks were a tint of red and I could tell I was blushing as well.
"I should go", he said. I smiled.
"Goodbye Xavier", I said opening my front door. He smiled and started walking back to his car. I sighed and stepped into my house before shutting the door.
"How was your night"? Dad asked from the kitchen. He was popping popcorn in the microwave even though it was about 11:30 at night.
"It was amazing", I said. I looked back to the entry way to see a huge hole in the wall.
"Even more important. Why is"-
"Louis, Eleanor, and Justin stopped over and yeah", he said with a laugh in his voice.
"Alright well I'm going to bed. Night", I said trying to walk past him. He stopped me and kissed me on the head before letting me go. I laughed and walked to my room. I shut my door and started taking my dress off. I looked at the scar on my stomach and memories of Chloe flowed. I snapped out of it and threw my hair up in a messy bun with a hair tie that had been sitting on my dresser. I plopped on my bed in only a sports bra and underwear and got under my warm comforter. Thinking about my amazing time was definitely the highlight to my night.

Monday morning came soon and all I could think about was seeing Xavier. I got to my locker and he wasn't waiting for me like he usually does.
"Darcy"! Alyssa said running to my locker. I turned and looked at her.
"I realized something", she said.
"What"? I asked.
"I'm straight. I thought I wasn't but whatever", she said. I laughed.
"What made you rethink it"? I asked. She bit her bottom lip.
"I'll tell you later", she said.
"Okay", I said. She then walked away leaving me at my locker. I shrugged, grabbed the rest of my stuff, and headed to class. Xavier wasn't sitting in his spot. Where was he today? Was the date bad and he didn't want to face me?
"Darcy", Justin yelled from across the room. I looked at him funny. Why was he calling for me? I got up and walked over to his spot.
"We have to talk. Now", he said. Skylar wasn't in the classroom yet.
"About what"? I asked. Gently, he grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the classroom. Thankfully, no attention was on us. The bell got closer to ringing and the hallway was pretty much empty.
"Follow me", he said. He started walking out one of the back doors of the school.
"Justin, we're going to be late for first period. He gave me a look that said "just come on". I didn't want to skip but I was pretty curious to know what this dick had to say. I sighed and followed him outside and around the back of the school, where we were surrounded by bushes and a huge tree. I crossed my arms and waited for him to say something.
"Do you remember when we were 11? Do you remember when we would skip school for a day and hang out by this tree? We thought we were so cool that we skipped 1 day at the middle school and came to the high school. Do you remember when we were 12 and you came up to the basketball court over there and watched me play with my friends and we all walked to the ice cream shop down the street? Do you remember the days when we were happy"? He asked. I got upset when I remembered those things.
"Yes", I said quietly.
"Do you remember our freshman year at the winter formal when we kissed for the first time"? He said.
"Do you remember"-
"Well do you remember when you took my virginity and got me pregnant and then hooked up with another girl almost a week later? Or how you called me bitch and said that you hated me"? I said. He ran both of his hands through his hair.
"I could never hate you", he said taking a step toward me.
"I never meant any of those things", he added.
"Then why did you do them"? I asked.
"Because I got jealous and I thought you were leaving me for Xavier", he said.
"Okay, don't even bring Xavier into it. He's so sweet and he's the opposite of you", I said raising my voice. He put his finger up to his lips signaling me to be quiet.
"I want another chance", he said.
"What about Skylar"? I asked.
"I don't like her. I was wrong about her"! He said. Half of me wanted to forgive him. The other half of me wanted to tell him off and slap him across the face.
"Justin I can't just go back to you. I like someone else now", I said.
"Yes you can! Forget him. You didn't date him for almost 4 years. And most importantly, he's not the father of your baby. I am", he said.
"It would be best if both of us moved on", I said.
"Darcy. Do you remember when you loved me? I do. Those were the best days of my entire life", he said. I seen the tears in his eyes that wanted to come out so badly. I wish I could forgive him but I can't just forget about Xavier. He took another step toward me.
"We can have a family. We can get married in about 10 years and you and my kid will be all I ever need.
"Justin", I started.
"Darcy", he repeated with a smile to mock me. That was always our thing. When he would tease me, I'd say his name and he'd mock me by saying my name.
"Stop", I said with a smile. The next thing I knew, his lips were on mine.

*Alyssa's P.O.V*

"We can't tell anyone about it", I said to Nate before class started. I walked him to his first class since my class was by his.
"Fine but you can't even tell Darcy", he said.
"Fine", I said.
"You have to admit it was good", he said with a smile. I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, whatever. Just friends", I made clear.
"Just friends", he said back. He walked into his class leaving me to walk to mine alone. Why did he have to come over yesterday? Why did that have to happen?

*Xavier's P.O.V*

"I can't believe how well that date went. I'm not suppose to actually like her", I told my cousin on the phone.
"You were just suppose to play along. Don't worry it will work out perfectly in the end", she said.
"She's pregnant", I brought up.
"By you? That wasn't apart of the plan", she said.
"No not by me. And I know", I said sighing.
"Keep making her think you love her. Don't stop talking to her and try to pull her in more. She needs to feel the pain that I felt 3 years ago", she said. I smiled.
"You are one sneaky bitch", I said.
"So I've been told. But I'm not the only one at work here", she said.
"True. But hey I gotta go. Bye", I said.
"Bye", she said before hanging up. I know my cousin and I have to work with the plan but I was really starting to like her. Ugh, all this thinking is giving me a headache. I'll just stay home today.
