Darcy 2

I got home from school that day and went straight to my room crying. My dad tried stopping me but I just pushed right passed him. Stephanie was at a job interview and Sarah was at her moms so it was just my dad and I. I laid down on my bed, staring at the ceiling with tears pouring out. The pregnancy, Skylar, Justin. Everything angered me!
"Darcy, are you okay"? My dad asked while slowly walking in. I wiped my tears and sat up. I didn't want to tell him about anything but I knew that telling him, would make me feel better. I became ready for any punishment I was going to be given.
"Dad! I'm so sorry"! I started while tears fell.
"What happened? You know you can tell me anything", he said.
"Dad. Last week, Justin and I had sex while I was at his house. It was a very stupid mistake and it was unprotected. On Friday night when I was sick and wasn't at the party, I took a pregnancy test that turned out positive", I said and then pausing. His eyes were getting bigger and bigger as the story went on.
"I took it to the party and seen Justin making out with a sophomore named Skylar Hemmings so I threw it at him and left. This morning when he picked me up, we weren't even together. I found out that he hooked up with Skylar at the party after I left so we're done. He told me before the school day ended that he hated me and called me a bitch and he's going to try and fight for custody of my kid", I said crying. He pulled me into a hug and stroked my hair.
"Darcy. Honey I love you", he said. I sniffled into his chest.
"Please forgive me", I said.
"I'll always forgive you", he said. I kissed him on the cheek and kept sobbing. Losing my virginity to Justin was probobly the biggest mistake of my life. I couldn't go to college after this year because of my kid. I couldn't do anything! All of the sudden we heard the front door open. Stephanie was home.
"Steph"! Dad yelled. She came walking through the bedroom door with Sarah in her arms. She let Sarah down and let her walk around.
"Yeah"? She asked sitting next to dad on my bed. He started explaining everything I told him and the whole time I just thought about Justin. How could a sweet, kind, funny boy turn into an asshole who just cares about drinking, weed, and sex. I remember the 9th grade Justin. The one that stuck up for me, the one that always knew how to make people laugh, and the one who was popular but still managed to love me. How can that be?
"Honey, we will support you and your baby 100 percent", Stephanie assured. Dad nodded.
"Thank you so much. I love you guys"? I said giving them both a hug. Sarah jumped on my bed and hugged us three. I was so happy my family was completely on board.

The next day at school, the first thing I seen at my locker, was Xavier holding a bouquet of roses.
"Oh my word, what's all this"? I asked as he handed them to me.
"Umm. A birthday gift", he said as his face turned red.
"Xavier my birthday's not until December", I said flattered. They didn't look like the fake kind that you can get for five bucks at a corner store. They smelled amazing and the petals were beautiful.
"Just think of it this way. A beautiful girl deserves beautiful flowers", he said. I stood on my tiptoes and gave him a hug.
"Thank you so much", I said. He nodded as a your welcome, waved bye, and left. What a nice guy.
"Wow you move on fast", I heard someone sat behind me. Startled, I turned around to see Skylar. Her lip ring was now dark blue.
"We're not together", I said looking away from her and opening my locker.
"Then what was all that"? She asked.
"Just something a nice guy does. And why are you even talking to me? Shouldn't you be with Justin right now"? I asked. Grabbing my math and Spanish stuff.
"Actually yeah I should. See you in first hour", she said walking away. I rolled my eyes and followed her except I walked way behind.

Taking notes was a drag. I just wanted to get this done with so I could talk to Xavier. He was super fun to talk to.
"Okay that's it for today", the teacher said putting the whiteboard marker down. The class cheered, since it was filled with terms and equations. My hands hurt from writing. I wrote with my left at first but that started to get tiring so I wrote with my right. The teacher sat down in her desk and everyone automatically started talking. Xavier turned around .
"You're ambidextrous aren't you"? He asked. I nodded with a smile.
"Sweet", he said.
"Hey Darcy"! I hear someone say. I turned around to see Skylar sitting on Justin's lap and running her fingers through his hair.
"His hair is so soft, haven't you noticed"? She asked giving him a kiss. I rolled my eyes and looked back at Xavier.
"Could you please stop? It's making Darcy upset", Xavier said looking at them.
"Why? Because she knows she can't have him anymore"? Skylar asked.
"It rude and I can't believe you would even try to make her feel miserable", he said.
"Mkay", she said. He turned back around to me and half smiled.
"Sorry, I tried", he said.
"It's okay", I said with a laugh.
"Darcy. Are you busy this Saturday"? He asked.
"No why"? I asked.
"Will you go out with me"? He asked.
"I can't, I'm soo sorry. I just got out of a relationship with Justin", I said. I didn't want to move on too fast.
"Just let me take you out. Just once", he said. I sighed and thought for a second.
"One date", I said finally. He smiled.
"Yes! Thank you", he said.
"Thank you for asking me", I said standing up. He stood up as well.
"Your welcome. Shall I meet your parents before our date, the day of, he asked.
"Hmm. Come over after school today and meet them. My step mom will be at one of her jobs but my dad will be home", I said.
"Step mom? Sorry to intrude privacy but where's your real mom"? He asked.
"Oh she died when I was 4", I said.
"Oh wow I'm soo sorry", he said.
"No it's fine"! I said.
"How long has your step mom been in your life"? He asked.
"Since I was 15", I said.
"Who was with him before her"? He asked. How did he know there was another person?? I became silent.
"Sorry I didn't know if there was another person of not, I just kind of figured. I ask a lot of questions", he said. I was starting to get suspicious. He sounded like he knew the answers before I even answered that. Maybe I'm just being over dramatic. Oh was nice that he wanted to get to know me. Or did he already?
