Promises were meant to be broken.

3 years ago....
."Zayn we're always gonna be friends,right?" Samantha asked as I pushed her on the swing.
"Yeah but......" I muttered, trailing off. Samantha stopped swinging and looked at me seriously.
"Zayn promise me something?" she asked,
"Anything!" I blurted a little to fast causing her to laugh quietly.
"Promise me we'll always be best friends, even when you're famous and everything, promise me you will come back to me?" she asked quietly looking at the ground, I lifted up her chin with my thumb.
"I promise." I whispered before pressing my lips to hers. After a couple minutes I pulled away.
" I should head home, I'll come by tomorrow before I leave." I said giving her one last kiss before heading home.
"Bye Zayn!" she yelled to me.

What she didn't know was that I wasn't going to come say goodbye, I wasn't strong enough. And what neither of us knew was that was the last time we were going to talk for years. I lost the love of my life that day because I was to scared to to say goodbye. I didn't answer her calls or texts, I just ignore her and I regretted every day of it.


==============================PRESENT DAY==================================
I'm finally home on a break from our tour and after 3 days I finally talked myself up to visiting Samantha. I took another look in the mirror before heading downstairs.
"You heading over to Samantha's?"My mum asked as I entered the kitchen.
"Yea, how do I look?" I asked nervously ( http://twicsy.com/i/CtfrEb )
"Handsome." she said touching my hair. " She always liked your hair down didn't she?" she asked.
"Yea she did. But you sure I look good. Do you think I should shave?" I asked rubbing my stuble.
"No you look fine. Now go before you change your mind." She said pushing me out the door.
