Carly’s POV
Harry opened the door for me in front of a fancy restaurant. He never told me where we were going but he told me to dress up so I knew it was important. I willingly wore a dress for the first time in a while and I wore heels, showing off my tanned legs. THANK YOU CALIFORNIA FOR THE TAN!
I entwined our fingers as we walked up to the door. He opened the door for me before following me in.
“Hello, do you have a reservation?” An older man with a badge that said ‘manager’, asked politely.
“Yes, 2 for Styles.” Harry answered.
I like his last name, I've never really thought about it but that’s a really nice last name. Oh, we’re walking maybe I should pay attention.
He led us back to a candle lit table. Harry pushed my chair in for me and sat down across from me. The waiter took our drink order and left us to figure out what we wanted to eat.
“Can I have a slice of apple pie please?” Carly asked our waiter when it was time for dessert.
“Ooh, someone’s splurging.” Harry teased since she’s been focused on her weight a lot lately.
“Shut up.” She stuck her tongue out at him.
“The same for me too please.” He chuckled.
“Of course.” The waiter nodded and walked away.
A few minutes later the waiter came back with the slices of pie. They ate slowly, paid and left. When they got outside, they found a bench and sat down. Carly leaned her head on his shoulder while he though of how to say it to her.
Here we go, I actually have to do this. Harry thought to himself. Oh gosh. Come on Styles, you got this. It’s only 3 little words.
“Carly?” He asked with a shaky voice.
“Yes?” She looked over at him.
“I have something I need to tell you.” She was kind of afraid of what he was about to say. “I think you're absolutely amazing, I’ve never met anyone nearly as beautiful as you and I never want to lose you. Carly, I love you.” The words rushed out.
“Oh Harry, I love you too.” She smiled as tears stung her eyes. “I have for a while, I just didn't know the right time to say it.”
“Same here.” He couldn’t fight the smile that was spreading across his face.
“And, I don’t want to lose you either. You have changed my life so much, I don’t know where I’d be without you.” She was completely serious.
The leaned toward each other and kissed passionately. It held a lot of emotion for both of them. That was the first time they’d ever said ‘I love you’ to anyone but family.
