Ariel’s P.O.V
I could see the acres of land and free-lance running horses and I already knew we were back in Texas, the sun hit just perfectly over the place giving it a sunny happy feeling. One of the middle aged women attendants came up to the front of the crowded plane and grabbed a speaker off the wall. “We’ll be landing in Texas within 5 minutes, brace yourselves for landing” I clung my hands tightly around the arm seat, I dug my nails deeper into the hard surface I was taking my anger out on the seat all the pain, stupidity and embarrassment was token out on that chair. After the turbulence stopped my tight grip released and so did my feelings for Harry, everybody began to get up I got up as well grabbing the extra stuff I brought on the plane. People began piling into the middle of the aisle trying to be the first off, I took my time I mean the plane does have air conditioning so I was enjoying it while I can because once I hit that Texas air…..there’s nothing left to say.

I settled into the house, placing everything back where they needed to be. “Ariel sweetheart!” My name was yelled from downstairs by mom. “Coming!” I started down stairs two by two ready to do what mom wants me to and get back up to my room. “Yes mom….” I barely made it down to the bottom of the stairs before seeing Harry standing in the living room with mom. I ran my eyes from him to mom, Harry put on this fake smile and smile did too. “Oh come here don’t be shy……” The way she said that made me assume Harry left something out of their

conversation. I walked into the living room covering my surroundings, Harry had his jacket thrown up onto the couch and there was two mug cups on the table, something tells me that mom and Harry have been talking for quite some time now which is weird because I didn’t hear the door nor the doorbell. “Come sit sweetie” I came and sat down – mom pushing me a little too close to Harry but he wasn’t uncomfortable at all he put his arm around me giving my shoulder a little shake to turn my frown upside down. Harry was the last person I wanted to see and obviously he knew that, but the question that bothered me was why is he even here? “So sweetie Harry tells me you guys are friends at school right?” I looked over at Harry, he gave me a cheeky smile; oh he knew what he was doing. “Yeah mama, but that’s weird because I barely know him, what was your name again?” He slid his smile easily into a smirk, I slightly smiled at him. This game we were playing was just the beginning. “Harry Styles love….” He leaned out his hand to give me a shake; I reached out and grabbed his hand aggressively tightening it hard he opened his mouth in pain “Ouch…” He whispered. “I’m sorry, I just have a tight grip…I get it from my daddy” I smiled over at mom she smiled back. I let go, he shook his hand out

massaging the pain where I struck force. “So why are you here Mister H-h….” I pretended to stutter his name. “Harry?” He raised an eyebrow helping me out. I smiled at him like a high school cheerleader all happy for nothing. “I just wanted to get to know everybody in town, since I’m new and all…” He winked at mom. “Oh Mister Styles…” Mom blushed, I squinted at her. She quickly slipped back into her reality age. “Well than did you meet our neighbors?” I loved toying with his mind, I have tricks up my sleeve same as him. “Yes actually…” This conversation was becoming an A and B instead of A, B, C mom just stood there watching us confused why we were testing each other. “What’s their name than Harry Potter….” He laughed my joke off. “Actually it’s Harry Styles and there name is….uh….um, I forgot because we got caught up in talking about other things love” I raised one brow; oh I was on to him. “Oh!” Mom added her comment in out of nowhere. “Ariel tell him about Jesse, oh you’ll love him Harry he’s a true

gentlemen” Harry turned to look back at me, his smile was wiped off his face but he forced one more. “Oh I know….” He said through gritted teeth. “Yeah, just when he knows what he wants, he goes for it ya know?” Harry nodded his head, his eyes deepened with a little bit of sincerity and I just knew he was thinking back to the bathroom on the plane and at the cabin. “I would definitely…..” He got lost in my eyes, for a few minutes “Would know….Ariel” My anger slowed down to calmness, my breathing even was low and barely hearable. Seem like we were looking at each other for minutes now not saying a word because maybe the unsaid words are transferred through our eyes. “Well than……..” Mom got up from her chair. “Ariel would you like to escort Harry out with me?” I looked at him smiling, but he was lost staring down at the ground; he flexed his jaw a couple of times. Mom started for the door already “Harry?” I slipped the words sentimentally out my mouth I reached out to brush his arm slightly. He flinched it away and instantly danced a smile across his face “I think it’s time for me to go Ariel…”

He walked pass me, I turned around stun I slowly began towards the door. Mom waved at him “You come back now ya here?” She turned around and started for the living room picking up the mugs, I still stood in the door frame watching him walk away. He slid his glasses on of course and slid his hands into the front of his pants setting of that more than meets the eye look.
I can’t stay inside the house tonight, I’ll just keep thinking back to me and Harry and that awkward stare. I closed the door once I watched him walk down the sidewalk and dialed Barney. “Ariel! Hey girl Hey” I couldn’t help but crack a little giggle. “Hey um….were you doing anything tonight?” I heard a loud scuffle in the background. “Uh…no well actually me and Sam were going out” I walked towards the kitchen, mom was multitasking on her phone and washing the mugs I circled around into the living room where my eyes planted on something so vague

yet familiar. “Joe’s crab shack?” I heard her disagree. “Then where?” I walked more towards it; rounding the coffee table I stood there in front of the couch staring intensely at the dark leather jacket, temptation to touch it was put on hold while I was on the phone with Barney, “No a new joint in the city….” My mind erased the thought of that jacket and my temptation. “What?” She giggled off to herself. “Yeah me and Sam were going to check out a club in the city, do you wanna come?” The difference with a club in the city V.S the country back woods parties, they party hard, and the guys stare at you darker; you feel violated. All those sweaty bodies compacted together “Sure….” I said without thinking. “Great! We’ll pick you up at

around…….7:00” “Okay…” I hung up the phone and slid it onto the coffee table something felt wrong about saying yes but at the same time I didn’t want to stay inside the house gorging over Harry or even Jesse. My eyes regained focused on the jacket, I quickly leaned out and grabbed it hugging it to my body. That dark earthy tone smell I fell in love with bombarded my nose, I held it closer to me and grabbed my phone off the table then headed upstairs.
