Crash Course

Heathrow Headache

Monday came along too soon. I felt like I had spent all Sunday packing and it left me utterly exhausted. But, my being tired changed nothing and we still had to be at the airport at five in the morning.

After Zayn had left the house Saturday night, Liam and me officially solidified what was going to happen with me on tour. Paul came over early morning to discuss the privacy and security issues that needed to be discussed. He also had a list of medical professionals in every city we were stopping in. Unknown to me, Paul had even found an OBGYN for me everywhere we were going to be so that I could still make my monthly check-ups without having to fly back to London. He had left me with the list so that I could call and set up appointments with the ones I chose.

I had never had long vacations growing up, and as a result I had no idea how to pack for the tour. We started with a month in Europe traveling everywhere before coming back to London for two weeks. After the two weeks we were going to head State side before back to the UK for the last leg of the tour. Unsure if I should pack for the whole tour or just the European leg, I took what seamed like the whole closet. When Liam saw what I was doing, he laughed.

“Love, we are not moving completely. No need to take every piece of cloth in your closet.” He had said.

Knowing that I was already a little on the flustered side, did not help with my pregnancy hormones, he helped me unpack and repack. Since he had done many tours like this, I wondered why I had not asked him to help me in the first place.

“Get up sleepy head.” Allie gently spoke close to my head. I opened one eye a crack and saw it was still dark out side. I groaned and rolled over. “We need to leave in ten minutes.” She said.

“Ten minutes.” I groaned though I did not get out of bed.

Not willing to be late or to argue with me, Allie pulled the covers completely off the bed. “Alright, I’m up.” I moaned.

She was already dressed for the day; worn jeans, one of my t-shirts and a jacket over it, and converse to finish off the outfit. She was so low maintenance that I sometimes wondered how I could have managed to snag a girl like Allie. I walked into the bathroom to find her putting her hair up in a ponytail. The movement of caused her breasts to move up and down causing me to look lower. I knew she was not quite two months pregnant, but I swear I could start to see the change in her. Her stomach was beginning to change shape, not protrude, but just different. The way she was carrying herself also had changed, she was conscious of her every move and guarded her stomach slightly.

“Hey mister. Stop staring and get a move on. You have eight minute before I walk out of that door.” She said, seeing me eye her.

“Yes mam!” I saluted her.

The car ride to the airport was quiet. The streets were quiet since we were leaving the house just after four. London was not waking up and the fog had not begun to roll in yet. It almost made the city beautiful to me, but judging by the look on Allie’s face, she though it was breathtaking.

“We are here.” Allie gently shook me. My head was on her lap and though I did not remember falling asleep, clearly I had.

It was not a shock to me, but even at five in the morning the paparazzi were already waiting. Clearly we were not the first ones to arrive since there were flashes inside the check in. “Let me come around to get you.” I told Allie, already seeing the panic across her face.

Quickly jumping out of the car, I allowed the driver to hand me both of the carry on bags before heading to Allie’s door. I opened the door slowly before grabbing her hand. She jumped out of the seat and I protectively wrapped my arm around her. “Just don’t pay them any attention.” I whispered to her.

Flash! Flash! Flash! They were off, snapping pictures from every angle, as we attempted to walk through the photographers and fans flanking the way to the check in.

“Liam! Liam! Give her a kiss for us!” One pap yelled, while another screamed for Allie to smile at them. Her hand around by waist had a tight grip on the fabric of my shirt. It was clear to me that she was not going to be smiling for any paparazzi pictures nor would she be doing anything but walking as fast as she could to get away.

Allie breathed an audible sigh of relief when security stopped the paparazzi from coming any closer as we entered the check in area. Niall was already showing his passport and he waved us over when he saw us.

“Hiya!” He shouted.

Moving right up to him since we were the only people at the Terminal I charter check in. That was one thing I had to admit was nice about being rich and famous, chartered planes where I would spread out as much as I wanted.

“You are awfully chipper this morning.” Allie said as she embraced Niall in a big hug.

“I didn’t go to bed last night. I started packing at midnight.” Niall replied.

“Sounds like you made a great decision.” Allie sarcastically retorted.

“Best decision of the night!” Niall said before giving me a hug. “Hey man.” He said.

“Morning.” I replied. “What’s up with all the paparazzi? Is it me or are there more then normal?” I asked.

“Think it is her. Everyone is curious about Allie and you.” Niall retorted.

“Great. Just what we want.” I said, finding Allie had slid her hand into mine.

It was curious being at the airport with people photographing the three of us, like we were some sort of news story. Didn’t the photographers have more interesting things to do, like sleep? And worst of all, didn’t the magazines and publications have more worth stories like civil unrest happening in the Middle East, or the American campaigning which would start any day now.

It didn’t take long for us to get through security and to a private waiting room. Ed was already in it, computer propped on his knees and large headphones displacing his red hair. Paul was also sitting with his family in a corner. He was talking animatedly on the phone and from what I could make out, it had something to do with plans hitting a hitch.

Liam made me comfortable before he left the room to go and find himself a cup of coffee. I must have dozed off since the next thing after seeing Liam walk out of the room, I was being shaken by Niall.

“Allie, up and at ‘em.” He said. “Time to go to ITALY.” He sang the last part, wagging his butt in a sort of dance.

Unable to be too excited about the time of day, I moseyed my way to the plane, hand in hand with Liam, however, to my surprise, the plane was not what I had expected. Being from a small town, all I pictured when thinking of chartering a plane was something that would seat a few people. I had not fully thought out that scenario though since there were at least forty people that needed to be on the plane with us. Instead of a small puddle jumper, I was lead onto a full sized airplane. I will admit, I felt a little let down that I would not have the luxury of sitting on a couch, but how could I honestly mind?

“You okay, babe?” Liam asked, pulling my thoughts back to reality.

“Huh? Oh, yeah.” I smiled at him before leaning over to give him a quick kiss.

“Take that somewhere else.” Ed jokingly snapped from behind us.

“Don’t make me make out with him.” I snarled back, enjoying the fact that he was just as sarcastic as me.

The flight to Rome was fun and games. I ended up sitting next to Liam across from Niall and Ed. The banter between the four of us was as if we had been friends our whole life. Up until this point, the idea of being on tour had absolutely terrified me even if I did not want to admit that to any one. Sitting on the plane and realizing that I was going to get along with everyone well and get to tour the world was going to be a blast. Although it was only a short plane ride compared to what I was used to, I still ended up falling asleep on Liam’s shoulder. Even on the plane in a small confined place, he was careful with me and attempted to not move in order to allow me to rest. I did not wake until I heard the distinct click of a camera.

I opened one eye to find Eleanor kneeling on the empty seat in front of Liam, giggling to herself at the picture she had just snapped and me. “Sorry Allie, I didn’t mean to wake you. You two were just too cute I could not resist.” She said before turning the camera to me. The picture reflected Liam and me. I was asleep with my head on his shoulder and he was asleep with his head resting on mine. Both of us were smiling in our sleep and had our hands clasped firmly in each other’s. “We are just about to land anyways, so judging by what Liam said about you having motion sickness, you night want to be awake for this.”

Of course she was right. Eleanor, although the same age as me, took on a motherly role for those around her. She was always more concerned about others then she was about herself. Judging by how Louis reacted around her motherly instinct, I could tell that was one of the reasons he had fallen for her in the first place.

I just found Collision Course and read it in a few days because it showed as complete, then obviously started Crash Course and noticed that it has been 6 months since anything was written. It is so good and I really want to see what happens. Are you planning to continue to write? I sure hope so! :)
