Forever Alone

Why were all the boys and your friends standing in the middle of your apartment? Didn’t they have a party to attend to? What was going on? You looked at them with such confusion that they had no other choice but to tell you what was going on. Al the boys looked worried like someone had just gotten kidnapped or even worse someone was dead. Liam and Louis were pacing the room. Rachel was trying to get them to calm down by instructing them to sit but they wouldn’t listen. Zayn, Harry, and Bridgette were at the counter in the kitchen. You wanted answers but no one was telling you anything.

“What’s going on!” you screamed

They all looked at you. Louis came over to you and grabbed your hand. He led you into your bedroom. He sat you down and he just looked at you. Looking at you wasn’t going to give you the answers you needed. You wanted to know more.

“What’s going on Lou?” you asked him

He looked like he was about to cry, “Its Niall.”

Your heart dropped. What more bad news! How much more bad news could someone bring upon you? Then again they didn’t know about your break up with John. Then again that wasn’t important. Something was wrong with Niall. You just saw him a few hours ago. What could’ve happened to him in the amount of time he left your apartment? A lot can happen.

“What happened?” you whispered

“We don’t know where he is. Bridgette said that you saw him before she called you. You said that he left here after you told him you weren’t feeling good?” he asked

“Well, kind of,” you looked down.

“What happened here Judith?” Louis questioned.

“A lot. I think everyone should know,” you got up and made your way to the living room.

Louis followed behind you. You sat everyone in the living room. You had to tell them what had happened between you and Niall a few hours ago. You felt responsible for his disappearance even though the fight you two had probably isn’t the reason.

“What is it Judith?” Liam asked

“Niall and I had sort of a disagreement before,” you whispered.

“What happened?” Bridgette egged on.

“Well, when Niall arrived John called,” you told them.

“What does John have to do with you guys fighting?” Rachel asked

“Well, John broke up with me over the phone,” you blurted out.

“Why?” Bridgette asked

“I don’t want to talk about it,” you answered.

“But what if it has to do with why you and Niall were fighting,” Zayn replied.

“It doesn’t!” you yelled

“Fine tell us what happened,” Louis quieted everyone down.

“Well, I was really shocked by what had happen. I still am but that’s not the case. Niall was knocking on my door asking to come in but I didn’t answer him. The door wasn’t locked or anything. He came in and he kept asking what was wrong but I kept telling him to go. Finally he got the hint and stormed out. Then Bridgette called and I figured he was on his way to the club,” you told them.

“But he never came to the club,” Harry answered.

“I know that now,” you answered sarcastically.

“Judith, did he say where he was going?” Liam asked

“I don’t think so. He was pretty pissed off. I’m sorry. I really am. It’s my fault he is missing,” you put your head in your hands.

Louis rubbed your back, “It’s not your fault, Jude. He’ll come back. He always does.”

“It’s just that I wanted to be alone when John had broken up with me and I really don’t want people telling me that it’s going to be okay,” you muttered.

Bridgette wrapped you in a hug, “Judith, it’s going to be okay. Trust me. Niall will come back. And John is an ass for letting you go. You would make any guy happy.”

Everyone sat there and just started thinking about places where Niall could be. He couldn’t have gotten too far. He wasn’t one for running away from his problems. In the end you guys thought of a couple places where he could be. You guys were going to spilt up and try to find him. Well, the told you that you shouldn’t go out. You were too heartbroken from your break up to go searching for your friend. Then again you wanted to help but you took their advice. You felt vulnerable and you felt like you were going to break down at any moment.

Everyone left the apartment. You were alone again. They were all out looking for Niall. You sat there and thought about places where he could be. You just couldn’t pin point where he was. You closed your eyes and tried to remember every conversation you have had with him. You told him about the one time you ran away from home because your parents were fighting. This was before Annabel was born. You told Niall that you ran to the park down the street from your house. You told him how you made your bed inside the tunnel bridge. You told him how you spent one whole night there. Then in the morning your mom and dad came to get you. Turns out your parents were fighting about Annabel. Well at that time you didn’t know that the baby, your mom was pregnant with, was a girl. They were fighting about whether they should keep her or not because they could barely afford you and your brother. You were glad that they decided to keep her because you have an amazing little sister who you miss dearly. Didn’t Niall tell you a story about his attempts of running away?

Yeah, he did. He told me that he ran to his friend’s house but his friend’s mom called his mom and his mom came and took him away. That story was funny. Oh I remember that night perfectly. Do I feel a flashback coming on, Judith? Yeah, it sure sounds like one.

-Flashback-

Niall had picked me up that evening to go out. We were just hanging out. He took me to this forest type place. It was so peaceful. He had brought a blanket and some snacks. I had recently eaten dinner and I wasn’t too hungry but he insisted on bringing me here. So anyway we sat underneath the stars surrounded by trees. Then he picked up the blanket and we continued walking. He told me he wanted to take me to his secret spot that none of the boys knew about. It was a big lake which was surrounded by the trees. I could hear the crickets chirping away. They were creating some sort of sweet melody that was so wonderful. I closed my eyes and just took in the sounds around me. Niall and I sat on this big flat rock near the lake. It was peaceful.

“Why did you bring me here?” I asked

He looked at me, “Because I just wanted to.”

“So how did you find this place?” I asked

“Well, I was driving and I saw this path off the road. I started walking and I found it. I like it here because when I’m stressed or frustrated I come here. It clears my mind,” he laid back on the rock with his arms folded behind his head.

“Now that I know about this then I guess I have to keep it a secret?” I asked

“You have to or I will be forced to kill you,” he chuckled.

I laughed, “Okay.”

“You can’t tell anyone,” he told me, “Pinky swear.”

You took his pinky in yours, “I promise.”
