Forever Alone

You linked your arm through his and you guys exited your apartment. You guys walked downstairs to where his car was waiting. He was a proper gentleman because he opened up your car door and he shut it after you got in. He got into the car and started it up. Along the way you learned a lot about him. His name was John Frank. His family was quite popular. His dad was a doctor while his mom was a nurse. He was studying to become a neurosurgeon like his father. John is fascinated by how the brain works and such. He was telling you about tumors and all this other stuff. You remembered that your grandmother died from a tumor when you were ten. It was a terrible time for you. You really loved your grandmother.

After driving for a while you arrived at a restaurant. He opened your door once again and you linked your arm in his and headed inside. He had a reservation for you guys. You were seated instantly. He couldn’t take his eyes off of you. He wasn’t too bad looking himself. He had dark brown hair which wasn’t too long or too short. He had these piercing green eyes that were just so luscious and scrumptious. He seemed to have a wonderful personality. He laughed along with you. He seemed nervous too.

Soon your dinner arrived and the nerves started to settle in more now. You looked at your hands and they were sweating. You quickly glanced at his hands and noticed that they were sweating too. He didn’t look at you while you were eating. You didn’t look at him because you didn’t want to make it awkward. But after you were done you looked at him and he looked at you and just smiled.

“Are you just as nervous as I am?” he asked

“Yeah, I didn’t really trust my friends’ decision about the date choice before I met you,” you told him.

“And what do you think now?” he asked

“I think I should believe in them more,” you smiled at him.

“I should trust my friends more too,” he answered.

You blushed, “So did you enjoy your dinner?”

“Yeah, I did. Did you?” he asked

“Yeah, it was quite delicious,” you told him.

“So are we going to share dessert?” he asked

“I guess we could but you’ll end up eating most of it. I’m quite full,” you answered.

He laughed, “Okay, you pick.”

You picked what seemed like a light dessert but it turned out to be the most filling. You really were enjoying your evening with him. He was very nice and you really enjoyed his company. He was making you laugh and you felt comfortable with him. Your friends did a good job about picking this guy out. You should thank them later. This could be the start of something new. You didn’t want this night to end.

After dinner he drove you back to your apartment. Your friends were out probably on their own dates. John insisted on walking you back upstairs. You couldn’t object to his courtesy. He was a great guy after all. You really wanted to see where this goes. He opened your door once you guys reached your apartment complex. He led you to the elevator with your hand in his. Was he really going to be your new boyfriend?

You guys took the elevator up to your floor. Once the doors opened you guys walked out and walked towards your door. You got your keys out of your purse and opened the door. Were you supposed to invite him in or something? Did you really want to invite him in? You barely know him. Then again you felt some sort of connection with him.

You looked at him, “Did you want to come in?”

“Not to ruin this great night but I do have to get up early. I got to go for my internship,” he told you.

“Oh I forgot you are big important doctor,” you laughed.

He laughed, “Intern. Important intern.”

“Sorry, you’re a very important intern,” you corrected yourself.

“That sounds better,” he answered.

“I rather you be a doctor. Doctors are pretty cool,” you told him.

“They are. One day I will be,” he told you.

“So, I guess this is where we part ways,” you felt your hand unlock the door.

“Yeah but will I get to see you again?” he asked

“Yeah, I would like to see you again,” you told him.

“Until then,” he moved in close.

“Until then,” you placed your lips on his.

It was an amazing feeling. He was actually kissing you and you really like him. You guys separated and he told you goodnight. He then made his way towards the elevator. Once you saw the door close to the elevator you did your little happy dance. Then you heard some chuckling. You turned your head to your right and saw Niall standing outside his door. He was laughing at you. You then realized that you were dancing in the hallway and not in your apartment

“How long were you standing there?” you asked

“Long enough to see your little happy dance,” he mimicked your dancing.

“Hey, I had a nice night,” you answered.

“I guess so. So who was that guy,” he walked towards you.

“His name is John. Bridgette and Rachel fixed me up with him,” you told him.

“So he’s going to be a doctor?” he asked

“Yeah, his dad is one so he kind of has to be but he likes it. He is very smart,” you smiled at Niall.

“I’m sure he is,” he answered as he starting walking away.

“Why aren’t you out with your girlfriend?” you asked

He turned around, “She’s sick.”

“Oh, well I guess this is good night,” you told him.

“Yeah, good night Judith,” he answered bluntly.

“Night Niall,” you walked into your door feeling his eyes on you.

He was jealous. He had to be. He couldn’t see me with another guy yet this was just the start of the relationship. Then again he was happy with his relationship or are they having issues. Maybe you should talk to him. Maybe you should see what is wrong. Then again you don’t want to ruin your relationship with John just because Niall is unhappy with his girlfriend. Far as you know you don’t have feelings for him. Then again do you really lose feelings for someone you loved so much but they never saw it?
