Izallouis’ view:
After the lights weren’t as harsh I noticed a curly haired boy smiling at me.
“Harry??” I said out loud. The mic was nowhere near my mouth which was nice that it didn’t pick that up.
“So what's your name??” Liam asked with a grin. He knew my name, I'm sure.
“Izallouis Rae.” I basically whispered to the microphone.
“Well, Izallouis what are you going to sing for us??” He seemed happy to see me.
“I honestly don’t know. I just found out ten minutes ago this was a singing competition.” Some people laughed and others cheered.
“Are you serious??” Harry sat up.
“Yeah, I thought I would be dancing.” I chuckled.
“Well, we are ready whenever you are.” Zayn winked at me.
“You'll be waiting a whilst.” People laughed again. If singing fails maybe I can just be a comedian. I nodded back at the band and waited for something familiar to start playing.
Justin picked the best and worst song he could have I know this song by heart but that’s because it's a song my father would sing to me quite a bit. Before you start thinking about *NSYNC music, it's not. It was a bit more from the 80’s. He had a weird taste in music and in return that grew on me. I took a deep breath and waited for the respected entrance. I opened my mouth and stopped there. I didn’t want to sing. I didn’t want to be doing this. I didn’t want to be embarrassed either so I started to sing quietly a bit late. I didn’t want them to hear me because I wanted to go home. I didn’t want anyone to want me on their ‘team’. But then I looked to my left and saw Justin and Jess with plastered smiles. I could just try, I mean for them, and maybe for Dad.
“You're here there’s nothing I fear!” I basically screamed into the microphone. I was pouring out my voice to this song now. What can I say?? It's a habit. “And I know that the heart does go on…” I took a breath, “We’ll stay, forever this way… and I know…”
