Remember My Love

Niall's POV

After about an hour of telling stories and jokes and cuddling, I got up and went downstairs to make dinner. I walked into the kitchen and turned on the radio. "....And Donna, this guy was so insanely creepy looking and I was like, 'I didn't grab no shoes or nothing, Jesus, I ran for my life'..." I chuckled at the corny joke and began making Dublin Coddle, Leyla's favorite Irish dish.

When I finished it was 12:03 a.m. A little late for dinner. I walked up the stairs and into our bedroom.

"Dinner's ready...." I stopped in the doorway drying my hands with a towel. Leyla was sitting in the bay window we had in our room (A bay window is the window with a seat in it, yes I want one too) looking at the rainy sky I walked over to her and sat down across from her. She turned to look at me, and smiled. I smiled back.

"Dinners ready, if you're hungry." I broke the silence.
"Starving." She grinned.
"I made Dublin Coddle."
"Well what are we up here for. Come on" She got up and rushed downstairs.

I was glad to see it cheered her up. We ate in the screening room, watching Twilight Zone, an old horror show from the 50's and 60's. When dinner was finished, we couldn't sleep, so I decided on a real horror movie. Leyla loves them, but they scare me a little.

"How about this?" Leyla held up a DVD "The Crazies".

"Sure, is it terribly horrifying or just a little scare?" I asked

"It's for chickens." She put the movie in and snuggled close to me resting her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her.

"EEE!" Leyla jumped in my arms.

I expected the jump scare, so I laughed.

"Chickens huh?" I chuckled

"Oh, whatever." She punched my arm playfully.

I had to pop the question that's been on my mind.

"Leyla?" I started.

"Yeah?" She looked up at me.

"What did Mathias mean when he said to 'think about it'?"

"Oh...."

Leyla's POV

I decided that lying to him wouldn't help. He had to know the truth.

"Oh...." I began. "He asked me if I ever get tired of all the hate from fans, and the paparazzi, I should go back to him. I never will, Niall. I love you, more than anything. He could never change my mind."

Niall's face turned red with anger looking back at the screen. He really hated him. More than I do.

Niall sighed, "Why won't he stay away from you." He looked back to me, "But who could." He swept my hair behind my ear.

"I'm scared." I whispered.

He pulled me closer on the theater seat-couch, and kissed my head. "He won't hurt you. I'll always be there to protect you."

I smiled and felt cheeks flush. He was so sweet and caring.

We watched the movie until it was over, with a few more jump scares. Niall phone beeped.

"Damn. I have to go in to the studio at 11:00 a.m. Will you be alright by yourself?" Niall said, after checking the text.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." I partially lied.

"Ok, babe. I should get some sleep." He got up and kissed my forehead. "G'night"

"Night." I answered back.

I sat there until the credits were gone, turned off the projector, and headed upstairs to the bedroom. I stopped at the nursery door. I hesitated to turn the door knob. I pulled my hand back, looking up at the little green duck that hung on the door. Sighing, I continued walking to our bedroom. Niall was already asleep. I climbed in next to him. He turned over and wrapped his arms round me, still asleep. I let my eye lids close, sleep taking over, thinking about Jackson. But why Jackson?...
