Remember My Love
You're Eyes Sparkle
Niall's POV
I'm driving to the "special place" I'm taking Leyla to. She looks really excited. I haven't told her, yet. It wasn't like any other date. It was special. I drove into the sand/parking lot and ran over to Leyla's side and opened the door.
"Madam." I offered her my hand.
"Thank you, sir." She steps out taking my hand and curtsies.
I intertwine my fingers with her's and walk her to our destination. She looks beyond beautiful. A goddess, even. Her long golden brown hair is whipping in the wind. She's wearing a mid thigh flowing floral dress and her make up is light, just how I like it. Before, I realize it, I'm staring.
"What?" Leyla asks me smiling.
"Nothing. Nothing," I shake my gaze, "You're just....a goddess." She blushes and bites her lip, looking down. When she looks back up, she gasps covering her mouth.
A palm leaf hut with lights hanging from the ceiling, a table for two, and a bonfire a little further away.
"D-Do you like it?" I was a little nervous she thought it would be too much.
"I LOVE it!" She wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me.
"Ehmm!" Harry stops us from making out. He's in his suit I asked him to wear. We pull away and walk over to the table and sat down.
"Good evening. Tonight, we have lobster panini with mushroom and roasted peppers, and martinis or wine." Harry straightened his bow tie and brought two plates of lobster panini with and a fancy garnish.
"Did you cook this, Harry?" Leyla was awed by the food.
"Pft! No, I hired a chef--I mean, No, madam. A professional was hired." Harry stood up straighter, "Enjoy your meal." And he left into a small section of the hut behind a curtain.
The food was amazing. Leyla loved it, which made it even better knowing she was having fun. Occasionally, we'd hear a punching noise and a "video game down fall" sound, and Harry would curse. Flappy Bird. We laughed and laughed, a little tipsy. Everything worked out perfectly. Leyla was happy and laughing like before. When dinner was finished, we sat at the bonfire, enjoying the quietness. The stars sparkled like Leyla's eyes. But not as happy looking.
"You're eyes sparkle." I whisper in her ear, my bottom lip brushing her earlobe. I couldn't tell if she was blushing even in the firelight, but she smiled and rested her head on my shoulder. We were sitting on a futon-like couch with a blanket we shared.
I kissed the top of her head.
"Niall?" Leyla spoke.
"Yeah, Bee?" I looked straight out into the ocean.
"Why did you make such a special date?"
"So we could forget about these last few days. All the bad things that happened, and to remember the fun things." I sounded like one of those poets.
"Thank you, Niall."
"You're very welcome."
"I love you."
"I love you so, so, much." I squeeze her closer around the waist.
