Why Did We Have to Fall in Love?

Niall's POV

This past week has been hard. Not just on Louis. Not just on Eleanor's family. Not just on Louis' family. Not just for the other guys and me. Not just for Sophia, Sarah and Beth, but also for the fans. Management had no choice but to announce it since Louis was papped with me and Sarah outside the hospital, Louis had collapsed and me and sarah were sobbing while we tried to wake Louis up before he had to get taken into hospital himself. I still havent quite got it into my head that she's gone. Her funeral is going to break us so much more than we are already broken by this horrible death.

"Niall?" I heard a soft and familiar voice say. I looked up from my hands which were placed on my black dress trousers to a red eyed Sarah who was wearing a black dress and black flats. "Are you ready to go?"

I scoffed, "Ready? When are you ready to s-say g-g-good-goodbye t-to s-s-someone?" I began to stutter as tears filled my eyes.

"I know. Goodbye is the hardest thing to do. But it's something that everyone has to do at some point" Sarah said while silent tears began falling down her face. She came over to me and cuddled into my chest. "I never thought I'd be saying goodbye to someone so young. But we have to be strong for Louis."

I rested my head softly on hers taking in what she had just said.

"You're right Sarah. I...we have to be there for Lou. Come on then." I held out my hand for her to take and with that we left our apartment.

Louis' POV

Why can't this pain just end? I can't deal with anymore pain. It's my fault. I know it is. I killed her. I'm such a bastard. I should never have asked her to be my girlfriend and put her through this. If I hadnt asked her out she would still be alive right now. Still healthy. Unbroken. Not gone.

Dead.

She's dead.

And it's all my fault.

My fault.

Yes Louis it is your fault she's dead because of you. you killed her. you put her through so much pain. you destroyed her and it is all your fault.

I hate myself so much.

Yes you should hate yourself.

Why can't I just end this?

You're scared. Frightened. Ashamed of what you have done.

I am not scared.

Yes you are. if you werent you would be with her again

If i end it i'll be with her again?

Yes Louis. You have finally caught on. You know just what to do.

I need to say goodbye to her today.

Say goodbye...then say hello once again. Remember what you two used to say after you had arguments?

Harry's POV

I couldn't believe what has happened in a week. Eleanor is gone. Gone. I'm really worried about Louis, he won't pick up his phone. It just goes straight to voicemail. Beth has been crying so much over the past week, but it hasnt hit me yet. I don't know when it is gonna hit me. I guess i'm just trying to stay stong for Beth, she needs me right now we all need each other right now. Louis needs us especially. I pulled up to the place where the visitation and funeral ceremony was happening. I didn't know how I was going to deal with the open casket thing but Eleanor's parents wanted to have it.

I stepped out of the car and walked round to open the door for Beth. She stepped out of the car rather stiffly. Her normally vibrant red hair was extrodinarily bland today she seemed pale and drawn. I expect Louis was similar just then I saw Louis pull up with his mum and Dan. He waited for them to step out first before stepping out into the cold brisk wind. He had black sunglasses over his eyes and his head pointed towards the ground. I walked over to Jay and gave her a big hug before shaking Dan's hand. I then placed my hand on Louis' shoulder, his head looked up to me and then he pulled me into a hug where he began to cry on my shoulder. Beth let go of my hand and i seen out of the corner of my eye Niall and Sarah pulling up. Louis removed his head from my shoulder to take off his glasses and to try and compose himself once again. Niall came over and gave Louis a hug while Sarah and Beth clung to one another tears rolling down both their faces.

I sighed lightly as Zayn and Perrie, Liam and Sophia arrived. Perrie kissed Zayn lightly on the cheek and then she went beside Beth and Sarah. Zayn and Liam walked over and Zayn bowed his head at me and Niall before giving Lou a one armed hug. Sophia hugged each of us gently but she held on to Louis a little longer. Liam, before hugging Louis, looked at the sky and then towards the building that we would be entering in a moments time.

I gasped slightly.

It was at that moment that it hit me. This might be goodbye forever.
