Why Did We Have to Fall in Love?

Sarah's POV ~

When my phone started ringing I was still in the car on the way home.

Ring, ring, ring.

I looked at the number. I didn't recognize it and it was under unknown. Since I was curious I answered it.

"Hello. Who is this?"

"Sarah?" A familiar Irish voice said to me.

"Yeah. Who is this? Who am I talking to?"

"It's uh... it's Niall. I saw your number in the uh the fan book you and Beth made"

"Oh my god! You seen that?!" I took the phone away from my ear to say to Beth, "I thought you said you weren't gonna put our numbers Beth! You said you wouldn't change anything!!"

I put my ear back to the phone to hear Niall laughing softly to himself. I couldn't resist smiling at the sound of it.
Once he stopped laughing he asked me "Do you know any good hotels anywhere?"

"You could try at The Hilton. But I think your supposed to book rooms cause they are really like...fancy"

"Come on babe. We're One Direction, we'll manage to get rooms there" he replied in a sarcastic voice laughing lightly at the end.

"Okay haha fair enough Niall." I said smiling into the phone. "Look I have to go but I'll save your number if that's okay with you"

"Yeah sure. Of course you can keep my number. I wanna get to know you a bit better Sarah. You seem like a really nice girl"

Did he really just say that?? Oh god...Sarah what have you gotten yourself into. First you tell him to get rooms in the hotel you waitress in!! Then you say you wanna keep his number!! What next?

"Thanks Niall. Talk to you later. Bye"

"Bye Sarah"

I hung up the phone and turned to face a very very excited looking Beth who was sitting at the wheel of her car.

"Tell me everything!!!" Beth said looking ecstatic that I had just had a conversation with the one and only Niall James Horan.

I told her the conversation and every now and then she would interrupt with a quick question or suggestion of what I should have said.

By the time I had finally gotten to tell Beth what had happened on the phone we had gotten back to my house.

I said a quick bye to Beth and gave her a hug before getting out of the small Ford Fiesta and walking up to the door slightly nervous at what reaction I would get walking into the door.

I hadn't told my parents I was going out...I was hardly ever allowed out...school, work, food shopping and occasionally Beth's house. That was all I was ever allowed to go to.

I stepped into house to find it empty. Thank God for that.

My phone began to buzz making it clear that I had received a text.

I pulled my phone out my pocket.

From Niall

Hey Sarah. Got rooms booked at the hotel you suggested. I understand what you mean by it being fancy. Its bloody huge!! Great though!! Thanks for the suggestion. You free tonight by any chance?

I quickly typed a message back to him.

To Niall

Hey Niall. No problem I'm glad you like the hotel that I work in. Might see you tonight since I'm working.

I then walked to my room to have a quick shower and to get ready for work...tonight was going to be interesting.
