Why Did We Have to Fall in Love?

Perrie's POV

We pulled up to the hospital and we all ran up to the reception, including Sarah who's ankle was still in a cast.

"Harry Styles and Beth Greggor! We need to see them!" Zayn half shouted at the receptionist his eyes still a little red from crying.

"Sorry sirs and madams you cannot see Harry as he is still unconscious." She said to us all, she then continued by saying "Beth, however, is awake. She is on the 4th floor in the intensive care unit in room 53"

"Thank you so much!" I said to the receptionist. We then all jogged to the elevator, Niall ended up carrying Sarah and Liam holding her crutches.

Within about 5 minutes we were running along the 4th floor corridor to the correct ward where we then began to walk up to room 53. Sarah reached over to the door handle still in Niall's arms and opened the door where they walked in first to hear a cracked and shaky voice saying,
"You're here."

Sarah's POV

"You're here."

"Of course I'm here Bethy. I'll always be here for you." I said to Beth.

The rest of the group walked in as Niall placed me on the chair beside Beth's bed. I looked at her. Her face had cuts on it and burns were all over her neck, her left arm was in a full length cast and one of her legs was propped up by 3 pillows also covered in a cast.

"Beth. What happened?" Liam said to her.

"We were talking and our car got hit by a lorry as it jackknifed. It hit right into Harry's side" He voice began to break and tears began rolling down her face. "They won't let me see him. I just want to tell him that I love him"

Her voice completely broke when she said "I love him" and the tears were cascading down her face so fast it looked like rain going down a window. Louis, Niall, Zayn and Liam were all silent but as I looked at them each one of them had tears falling down their face. Perrie let out a sob and ran out the room to be followed by Zayn. Eleanor stayed silent but walked over to Beth and put an arm around her and then her tears began to fall.

I didn't know what to do. I had never seen Beth like this before. To see her like this was terrifying and I hated it.

*In Harry's room*

Head Nurse's POV

It had been an hour since I almost called time of death. I still wonder how he is still alive his injuries should have killed him.

His collarbone had shattered, 4 ribs had broken and one of his lungs had been punctured, his right foot was broken in several places due to it getting trapped under the clutch pedal, he had lost a severe amount of blood and he had a really bad concussion.

I looked away from him to look at his vitals. Then I heard a groan. I turned back around just as Harry began to choke, he was able to breath by himself. I quickly removed the tube from his mouth and windpipe stopping him from choking. I quickly ran to the door of room 55 and called out "Styles is breathing by himself!"

Just as I shouted that to the nurses' station two people ran up to the door both had tears running down their faces. The male had black hair and dark brown eyes and the female had blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Styles? Harry Styles?" The man asked.

"Yes, but no-one is allowed in here unless you are family" I replied to them both.

"His family are in Cheshire. I'm his best friend. I'm Zayn from our band!" The man said to me.

I sighed.

"You two are the only ones allowed in right now until Mr. Styles wakes and he can then decide who gets in." I said to them.

They walked in and the woman looked at Harry and then fell to the ground sobbing. I was about to rush over to her but Zayn got to her first.

"Perrie. Shhh. Babe don't cry, don't cry." He said wrapping his arms around her and holding her close.

"How bad is he?" Perrie asked in between sobs.

I listed his injuries which caused both of them to start crying once again. Then I told them about Harry being dead for 10 minutes which cause Zayn to get extremely pale and Perrie to run out of the room looking rather green.

Cough, cough, cough

Zayn and I both looked over to Harry where his eyes were beginning to open.

Zayn's POV

I heard coughing from behind me. I turned around to see Harry's eyes begin to open.

"Harry. You are awake!" I said while walking over to him.

His eyes were looking all around the room. Then his eyes looked at me and began to fill with tears.

"Beth."

"She's okay Harry. She's okay." I said to him in a comforting voice.

"I seen a light while I was out. But I didn't like it so I walked away from it. It was like I was dreaming Zayn. It was the weirdest experience of my life. Weirdest dream ever" He said to me, his voice sounding ragged and rough.

"Harry..."

How was I going to say this. Um. I'll just tell him.

"Harry. You...You almost died. You were dead for 10 minutes." I said to him my voice breaking at the end and tears escaping my eyes.

"I died?"

"Yeah Harry. But you came back to us all. Thank you" I said to him.

He smiled slightly at me.

"I'm gonna go tell everyone else you're awake." I said to him.

I didn't care if this wasn't manly or anything but Harry's like my little brother so I leaned over gently and kissed his forehead where there was no cuts. I then walked out of the room and back to Room 53.
