Runnaway Heidi

Heidi's POV

It was finally morning. Ruby sat up on the bed.
"Are we going to go back now?" She asked.
"No, Ruby. I don't think we ever will."
"Why not?"
" Because, I don't belong with them. I belong alone, with you."
" But, I miss them."
" I miss them too Ruby. I love them. But, I have to stay away from them, so they never love me back."
" You shouldn't run away from things you love."
That little girl is so smart!
" I ran away from my mommy."
" Why did you run away Ruby?"
I was hoping, her life was nothing like mine.
" My mommy got me a new daddy."
" What?"
" My mommy and daddy started to fight a lot. Then my mommy got mad. She made my old daddy sign some papers, then he left. My old daddy said he loved me. He treated me good. But my mommy brought me a new daddy. He yelled a lot too. But not at mommy. Usually at me. The new daddy was always gone at bedtime. And always gone when we woke up, but he was there during the day. One day, The new daddy brought a baby home. Mommy had to take care of it. She forgot about me. So I tryed to go find a nice new mommy and daddy for me, but I couldn't. But now your my new mommy, Heidi!"
" Oh, Ruby."
Just then I got yet another text from Harry, aparently he was texting me all night. It said 'Louis is gone. Niall won't speak to anyone. We have a concert tonight. He refuses to practice. I need your help.'
"Ruby? We're going back."
