17 year old Annabelle Davison was living the perfect life. I mean, how good does a new dress every month, unlimited light at a push of a button, and the ever-so-speedy telegraph to contact her mother back home sound?

A life full of luxury, that would be considered.

'How is this the perfect life?’, some of you may ask. ‘Where the hell does she live?’ might be a common question. But, the real question you should be asking is not where, but when, when she lived. Annabelle Davison lives in La Conner, Washington, a perfectly, normal yet small, town. But when, that’s the real shocker.

Annabelle Davison, 17 years old, lived in 1874.

Annabelle is very happy in La Conner, with her only problem being a boy who she knows everything about not even know her name. When Annabelle dies in a terrible marine fire, she gets cursed, fated to live eternally and haunt in her own home until she gets the one that she cared for most, James Ellers, to love her in her broken form.

But, how can she get someone to love her when she’s a ghost who cannot leave her own house, and he’s happily married and doens't even know her? You can’t, and Annabelle, heartbroken, realized that too late.

Annabelle shuts herself out, scaring away everyone who dares to move into the house that’s Annabelle’s own exile. But, when a young man moves in Liam Payne, who happens to be a splitting image of James, does Annabelle have another chance to rest in peace?

Will Liam fall for the ruined girl who was cursed to never love again? Will Annabelle return to solitude, to be cast away?
