Gone
Eighty-Eight
"Can't you just lock the door though?"
The look on his face told me everything I needed to know. It was going to be a no but I wanted to make sure though, just in case.
"Oh my God, please tell me there's a lock on the door," I moaned, interlocking my fingers with his.
My heart sunk to my stomach as he shook his head.
"It's faulty. Last time I tried to use it I ended up being locked in here 'till Harold called the locksmith the next morning,"
I was a little bit disappointed if I was honest with myself. I wasn't completely sure if it was just hormones or my guilty conscience doing the talking but I did kind of want some 'alone time' with him.
"Well is there a room in this house with a lock on the door?" I whispered.
I didn't take my eyes off of him as I pressed up against his warm, muscular body. He kissed me lightly on the forehead.
"Well, there is the bathroom but...it's the bathroom," he didn't finish his sentence.
I could just imagine it. It played perfectly in my mind, like a movie. He'd help me up onto the bench and shove me against the mirror, knocking things to the ground, my legs between his. As the making out turned into something more, he'd moan softly in my ear.
"I really want to, I hope you know that,"
I nodded. Of course I knew. There was a time and a place for everything but apparently this wasn't either. I was okay with it, a little annoyed-not at him-but I'd get over it.
"We could always just watch a movie or something I guess," I suggested.
He laughed unenthusiastically.
"Well, alright, pick one,"
Across the back wall there was a gigantic movie cabinet. How was I supposed to pick? There would've been at least a few hundred just in the first few shelves alone. I found it hard to pick
"Wow okay, I think you should pick. I'm indecisive enough as it is. Seriously, we'll be here until Wednesday,"
He chuckled to himself as he selected one randomly off the bottom shelf. He wouldn't let me see what it was, telling me it was a surprise. Should I be worried?
"Don't worry, you'll love it,"
The tone of his voice suggested otherwise. I rolled my eyes. Knowing him it was probably a chick flick or that romance shit. All I could do was hope he knew me better than that by now.
