Gone
Forty-Six
I was half expecting Josh to punch him or something.
"He's right," I finally spoke, avoiding his eyes.
My voice was croaky from not speaking in a while. Josh turned to stare at me. Oh God. I seriously hoped he wasn't about to out me. I could only imagine. 'Ha! You just admitted you want me' He'd scoff. But to my surprise he did the complete opposite.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
He actually sounded serious.
"Yeah, I am...please stay,"
Niall wrapped an arm around me.
"I'll call my mate, tell him not to worry,"
He opened the sliding glass door and sat down on the steps that lead to the backyard. We stood there for a moment, watching him as he took off his beanie and hung his head, his phone to his ear.
"I guess my parents aren't home," I said with a sly grin, lightening the mood.
"Well, either that, or they're very heavy sleepers," Niall laughed.
I wanted to pick up where we had left off before Josh had made all that ruckus. And by the look on Niall's face, the feeling was mutual. I looked up at him, biting my lip without even meaning to. His reaction was hilarious.
"God you're sexy," he breathed.
I wasn't even trying.
Josh came back inside before I could even suggest we sneak upstairs. He took one look at Niall's face and laughed.
"What's got your panties in a knot?" He teased.
I gave him a look, attempting to give him a hint. A second later, his mouth formed an 'O' shape as he realised what I was trying to tell him.
"I'll be in the spare room blaring my music at top volume if you need me," he winked.
I rolled my eyes. It's not like I was going to rush into anything. I just wanted a bit more time with him. He headed up the stairs, wheeling his large black suitcase behind him.
"Well," Niall grinned, "where were we?"
I gasped as he picked me up. His hands were underneath my knees and around my waist. I clung onto his neck with panic. But I soon forgot why I was feeling anxious as he kissed me softly on the lips. He carried me up the stairs. He made it seem easy but I felt his sweaty body shaking under the pressure of my weight.
I shut my door and lay down on my bed. Niall wandered around the room, taking in all the posters and drawings that covered all four walls. There was not a white space in sight.
"Didn't know you were a fan,"
I sat up to see him pointing at my collection of Coldplay posters lined up in neat rows.
"Yeah, they're really great. I love their songs," I replied.
I curled up on top of my purple and grey floral doona and watched him sit down on my bed near my feet. He gazed at me beatifically.
"You are so gorgeous," he whispered.
I rolled my eyes jokingly.
"Thanks but I'm really not,"
