I'm the Queen

Chapter 2

Alyssa's P.O.V.

We arrived at the long driveway, where guards were protectively standing near and watching. Dad pulled in and helped us out of the car. Few cameras were flashing in the streets. Jenna gave a nice wave as we walked inside. He was still holding both of our hands, walking down the hallway until we stopped at the dining room.

Inside I saw Leia and Anaja. I think Taylor was upstairs maybe. Then Jared was talking to the two girls.

Jenna and I both walked gracefully up and gave a hug to him. I quickly turned back around to see dad looking down, shuffling his feet.

I ran back to him and whispered politely, "Dad, you know Jared is not my father, you are. Don't feel bad."

He nodded and gave me a small peck on the cheek, same to Jenna who was now standing next to us.

"I'll see you girls soon, maybe 2 weeks?" He asked.

Jenna grinned and answered "Of course."

Another quick hug and he was gone.

"So girls." Jared began. "As you know, your mother is not present with us."

I saw a tear slip past Leia's eye but everyone nodded slowly.

"Well, I have decided on who will be the next queen once I am gone.." Jared finished.

Everyone was silent , eagerly waiting for an answer.

"Wait! Before I tell you, someone go get Taylor please." He asked politely.

I saw Anaja walk to the stairs and a few minutes later, she was sided by Taylor. It looked like she had just woken up, yet it was already 2:00 in the afternoon.

"Alright girls, the next queen will be..Anaja!" He announced happily.

Anaja blushed and did a little dance before hugging him tightly. "Thank you father, this means the world to me."

The rest of us awkwardly stood around, feeling bad that we didn't have the correct or proper characteristics to take the throne. Jared saw the looks on our faces and added "I'm sorry girls, I found that Anaja would be a good queen. But all of you are perfect, don't forget that."

Leia's P.O.V.

Just as I was about to glumly walk upstairs, I heard barking coming towards me. Uh-oh, that stupid mutt of Anaja's.

Anaja got some dog about 8 years ago, his name is Winston. He may seem cute when you first look at him, but truth is, he hates everyone. Except for Anaja that is. He's always loyal to her.

Winston is a mix, he's half chow-chow, half terrier. He's got this pushed in face which makes it looks like he ran into a wall or something. Haha.

Anaja's P.O.V

"Wins wins!" I cried, running towards him.

"Ahem," Dad (Jared) spoke up. I quickly glanced at him while still running towards Winston.

"Anaja, you know I don't like when you run in the castle." He sternly said.

I soon realized and mumbled and sorry before grabbing Winston and holding him in my arms.

"Hey buddy!!" I exclaimed before I gave him a little kiss on the head and he softly licked my nose.

Suddenly, he jumped out of my arms and ran towards Taylor, barking quietly. Then it got louder, and louder.

Alyssa said "Winston hunny, it's ok." But he doesn't like her either. He growled, showing off his big teeth. I didn't want him to bite anyone.

"Winston! Don't do that! Calm down sweetie!" I soothingly whispered. He turned his smudgy little face towards me and just walked off.

Taylor furiously glared at me, walking off. "Anaja, you have to do something about that maniac dog of yours." Before she quickly disappeared down the hall.

The rest of the day was quite boring, nothing exciting happened.

~~~The Next Day~~~

Alyssa's P.O.V.

I woke up to something soft and ticklish rubbing against my face. I slowly opened my eyes and looked to see my cat, Toby. I giggled quietly before sitting up so he could lay on my chest.

"Toby, wanna talk?" I asked him, knowing he wouldn't answer anyways. He just purred as I scratched behind his ears.

"Well, what do you think about Anaja becoming the next queen?" I wondered, closing my eyes and picturing her with the crown, sitting on the golden throne.

It almost sounded as if Toby said "I don't know," because he had this really faint meow.

I sighed and rolled over a bit so he had some place to sleep. I glanced at the clock and saw that it said 10:37 A.M. I groaned and pulled a pillow over my face.

"Alyssa! Taylor! Wake up! We have to get ready!!" Jared yelled up the stairs.

"Why father?" Taylor yelled right back at him.

"That party for Anaja becoming queen. We scheduled it for today around 4:00. Get up!" He yelled once more.

I rubbed my eyes as I stood up and stripped out of my clothing. I wrapped a towel around my body as I walked to the bathroom down the hall.

Once I entered, I let the towel fall, looking at my nude body in the mirror. I walked over to the shower handle, turned it on so it would be warm and stepped in.

The hot water spilled over my face, and dripped down my back, feeling nice. I did my business before stepping out, putting the towel back on, and walking to my room.

I made sure not to drip any water on the hallway floor, Jared would throw a fit.

As I looked in my closet, I looked at all of the possible choices. I finally found this one dress, it was so fabulous. It was a baby blue color, and the style was similar to a mermaid wedding dress.

I slipped it on and looked in the mirror. Makeup time. I had just taken out my eyeshadow when I saw Jenna come into the room with 3 ladies.

"Aly! Jared hired these women to do our hair and makeup!" She exclaimed. I nodded before the 3 ladies started working on my hair.

Yeah, it was still wet but they dried it and put a long French braid down my back.

My makeup was very light, a light gray eyeshadow was added and a neutral lipstick color.

Soon I was done and I walked downstairs to see all of the girls ready to start decorating in the party room.
