-Chapter One-

“We need to talk, and is a better time than ever because I don’t think that I will have the guts to do it any other time.” Liam said, hesitating before he finally decided to say it.

“Okay… What about, Li?” Sophia asked, entirely confused.

“I’m really sorry, but I think we should break up; I’m not completely over Danielle and it’s affecting my work and my life outside of it. Like I said, I’m really sorry but I just think we should end it before it gets any worse.”

“You know what? Go ahead; go back to the bitch that dumped your sorry ass.” Sophia scoffed as she got up from her spot and started packing her stuff. Liam didn’t try to stop her because he knew it was for the best, no matter how much he wanted to take it back and tell her to stay; he couldn’t because he knew that it would just make things worse and seem as if he was only staying with her to make her happy.

“I’m sorry, Soph”- He was cut off.

“Fuck you! I loved you and all you do is want to go crawling back to someone who never did, so good luck with that, asshole!” She said as she packed the rest of her stuff up and zipped up her suitcase. She slammed the door, and she was gone, out of his life; now all he had to do was see if Danielle would take him back.

“You broke up with her, just like that?” Zayn asked Liam in shock, he still couldn’t believe that he broke up with Sophia.

“Yes, Zayn, I broke up with her, but not ‘just like that’; I had my reasons for breaking up with her.”

“And, what were those reasons?”

“I missed Danielle way too much and I really want her to take me back.”

“Okay, mate, but just be aware of the fact that she was the one who was stupid enough to dump you.”

“I know, I know, but I think that’s part of the reason I want her back so bad.”

“When do you plan on asking her to take you back?”

“Two weeks, at max, or whenever I feel like I am absolutely ready.”

Two weeks later, Liam got in his car and drove through rush-hour traffic towards Danielle’s apartment.

When he arrived, he quickly got out of his car and headed to the front door of her apartment; after three flights of stairs, he knocked on her door, she opened the door surprisingly quick. After a quick look shot his way, she just about closed the door in his face. Just before the door was able to shut, he stuck his foot in between the door and its frame. “Look I realize that you are probably going to say no, but I just want you to hear me out. Ever since you broke up with me, I’ve been depressed, really depressed. The depression has been getting to me worse than ever lately, I even broke up Sophia because I just couldn’t deal with being someone, when I still was in love with my ex. You never even told me why you left, so all of this time, I have been wondering why you broke up with me and wondering was it was something I did?”

“No, it wasn’t anything you did, I just couldn’t deal with all of the negative twitter posts towards me and all of the hate.” Danielle said apologetically.

“For one, if I can love you, they can learn to love you too; and for two, I think Sophia has gotten at least three times as much hate than you ever did. So please, give me another chance? You won’t regret it,” he promised.

“Uh, I don’t know, Liam.” She was really unsure, she really didn’t want to get anymore hate than when she did when she broke up with the British, world-wide heartthrob. She did miss him, she still loves him but she just wasn’t fully sure on the whole ‘getting back together’ thing.

“Please, just give me on more chance; it will be worth it, I promise.” He said with his voice full of hope and sincerity.

“Okay, one more chance.”

His eyes sparkled with optimism. His whole expression lit up when she said the words he has been waiting to hear for since they broke up. He quickly gave her a huge hug the moment the words left her mouth.

“You won’t regret this.” He smiled. He released her from the hug.

“I better not.” She laughed.

“Thank you so much, Dani. Now, question is, are you free tonight?”

“Your welcome, and yes, I’m free tonight. What are you planning?”

“Dinner and a movie, starting it off simple.”

“Sounds great.”

“So, I’ll pick you up at six?”

“Perfect.”

Liam knocked on Danielle’s door. He was taken back by how quickly she had answered the door. His eyes lingered down her slim body; she was dressed in an outfit that was the combination between casual and modish. She was wearing a skirt that came just above he knees, a nice floral blouse, and short ankle boots. She looked great, and Liam was beyond happy to have her back.

“Ready?” he asked excitedly.

“Always,” Danielle said cheerfully. She couldn’t wait. She had been so sad and depressed ever since she left Liam. She just couldn’t deal with the hate.

Liam smiled at Danielle before taking her hand and leading her down to his car. He opened the car door, being the gentleman that he is. She glided in, flashing him a soft, thankful smile.

Liam started the automobile and off they went, to restart their relationship. And Liam hoped, he hoped that there wasn’t going to be any bumps in their path, or any obstacles for them to maneuver around.

Their date was filled with laugher, flirting, and plenty of reminiscing the past. They both shared how much they had missed the other. Danielle could see the pain in Liam’s eyes as she had seen him on the television. Liam was thankful he never saw or heard how saddened Danielle was. He knew that if he had, he wouldn’t have been able to handle it. It would have torn him apart. But they are both more than thankful that they are back in each other’s lives.

And of course, Liam couldn’t have dropped Danielle off at her flat without a kiss on the cheek. In which Danielle returned with a small smile and pecked him on the lips before disappearing into her flat.

Liam rarely questioned things that involved Dani, aside from when she broke up with him, but all he could bring him to do as he returned to his own flat was wonder when he would be able to see her again. Thankfully, he hadn’t deleted her number when she had broken it off with him months prior.

Now of course, Liam had informed his bandmates of his date. There was no question when he had returned to them with a smile plastered to him face, which no one could remove. They just rolled their eyes and teased him, but Liam wasn’t fazed. He just sighed happily and replayed the dinner multiple times in his mind and fell asleep with the smile on his face.
