Crystal Crown
Fifteen
*CRYSTAL'S POV*
"Can I go in yet!?' I begged Louis's nurse. She was a young woman with brown hair is a tight bun on top of her head and her face was coated in no-makeup makeup.
"Fine." She huffed, and I silently cheered myself for being stubborn enough to make her say yes.
She unlocks the door to his room, and his eyes brighten upon seeing me.
"Crystal!"
"Louis!"
I collapse into his arms and he wraps his arms around my neck, almost strangling me in the wires attached to his arm.
The nurse, Lexi, he told me was her name, clears her throat.
"We have some things to do," She says snarkily.
"Calm your ass, woman. Give me time." I reply in the same tone. She narrows her eyes.
I narrow my eyes back.
"You're not the only one capable of being a bitch," I say sassily.
Louis chuckles.
Lexi lean the room, offended.
Louis looks hopeful when I turn back.. as if.. I'm going to..
Our lips are almost in contact when I look down at my hands, squeezing my eyes shut for a second and curling and uncurling my fists.
"What's wrong, Crystal?" He asks.
"I - I can't kiss you." I stammered.
His cheeks glowed red when he uttered the word, "Why?"
"All those other times I did..it was just to make you feel better. And because the paparazzi were catching it." My breath caught in my throat because of the lie.
Yes, the lie.
"Oh." That's the only word he says.
Oh. A simple word makes my heart shatter into a million pieces.
Now he looks down at his hands, not daring to gaze back up at me.
"Should I leave?" My voice cracks.
The pieces of my heart break into ever smaller pieces when he nods yes.
