Beauty and The Beast
Chapter 5
**Bell's P.O.V**
I didn't really sleep last night. Every time I'd close my eyes, the same photo popped up in my head. The blood, the bruises, her. By the time I had gotten past the photos it was three, so I only got 2 hours of sleep. When I awoke I saw bags forming. If this keeps up I was going to look like a zombie. I just wanted to sleep. I was slowly drifting with my nose in a book, so no one would disturb me, not that anyone would anyways. I had gotten so close when someone slammed themselves down in a chair in front of me, startling me out of my half slumber. I dropped my book in the processes. "Hi" Louis smiled, no realizing what he did.
"Hey" I couldn't get more then a whisper out.
"Can you read now?" I looked at my phone, we only had like 5 minutes.
"Louis we only have like 5 minutes. Maybe-"
"After school?" He cut me off. I might as well, my dad won't be home until god knows when.
"Fine" A smile grew on his face.
"Thanks"
"You have to walk to my house though, I only live-"
"I don't care, I'll meet you at the front doors" He needs to learn some manners. He got up and walked across the commens and met up with Niall and Zayn.

"Ready to go?" He asked, not even giving me a second after walking out the doors. The chilly fall breeze hit my face causing me to shiver. "Are you cold?"
"Yes, but I'll be fine" I had on a sweater, I just have to get used to it.
"Nonsense" He took his coat off and handed it to me. I shrugged my backpack off my shoulders and slipped it on. I warmed up instantly. The walk home was awkwardly silent.
"Um so this is it" I said, walking up my driveway. When I looked back to make sure he was following, he had a expression. I don't know how to describe it exactly. Surprised maybe. We walked in and it smelled of one of my favorite smells, sugar cookie. Although the smell reminded me of my mother. I let out a yawn as I walked up the stairs. I'm never tired. I always go to bed around ten, so I wake up with 8 hours of sleep. "Do you want to start on homework? Or just read?"
"Read" he replied simply. I nodded and pulled the book out. He climbed onto my bed and sat next to me. As I began to read, he moved closer so he could see the words written out on the page. His arm touched his sweatshirt that I was still wearing. I had leaned my head on his shoulder but continued to read. My eyes got heavier and I yawned again. As I finished off the chapter I felt my eyes shut.
**Louis' P.O.V**
She shivered as she left the building. The fall air was chilly. I'm glad she took my sweatshirt, she would have been cold the whole walk then. Although all I had on was a muscle shirt, I wasn't cold. The walk was so silent it was awkward. When we got to her house it hit me. She was crying. This is the house I saw the girl crying on the roof and the girl reading.
She started reading, because I don't do homework. If I knew she wanted to work on homework I would have brought it. She got to about 3/4 ways done with chapter one when she started to struggled to keep her eyes open. She thought I didn't realize but I did. Truth is, she looks like adorable when she's tired. After she read the last word she fell asleep. I didn't want to wake her, so I let her sleep. I tried to read ahead, but it was too hard. So I put it back down.
