Things I Hate
You're From England? Are You Sure?
Hi guys! Got another rant.
SO today I would like to talk about - um - *flips cards* wait wrong day
THAT'S FOR SUNDAY
*drops all cards*
FUCK.
NEVER MIND.
So here's one of my problems.
When someone is writing a story and then in the characters thing they do -

dis ish ANNA SMITH and she's 21 and she's bubbly, fun and loud. She's from England
AND THEN IN CHAPTER ONE
"omg I want some fucking potato chips, niall," Anna laughed.
DID YOU KNOW THAT IN ENGLAND / GREAT BRITIAN
CHIPS ARE CALLED CRISPS
AND INSTEAD OF 'FUCKING' THEY OCCASIONALLY USE BLOODY.
I don't even know why this sometimes sets me off. My knowledge of England isn't firsthand. but I know some basic things like this, and when I do this in my stories I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. The worst thing is my computer is so slow you can't go back and edit shiet.
Notes
I just thought I would include a gif to lighten the *cough cough* awkward mood
yeah, sometimes when people do that when they're character is meant to be british and they are in England then this happens, these are some of the basics that everybody should know:
She handed him a dollar
WE USE POUNDS NOT DOLLARS
She or he asks for some soda
WE DO NOT USE THE WORD SODA (OR POP) ITS JUST A FIZZY DRINK, EITHER COKE, OR FANTA, OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
She eat lots of cookies
ITS BISCUITS! UNLES YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT A CERTAIN TYPE OF BISCUIT
He asked her "Do you want to see some soccer?"
ITS FOOTBALL
Thats what I get frustrated about, when there character is meant to be from England ;(
PS I do know this first hand because I am british....
sorry about the small rant on you're comments :)
