One Night

Rachel's P.O.V.

Walking into the pharmacy, I ran a hand through my hair nervously.

What if she was actually pregnant? Everything would be different if she was.

I found the pregnancy tests quickly and grabbed three of them.

Better to be sure.

I brought them up to the counter, gaining me a disapproving look from the woman as she took them off of me.

I was genuinely surprised at how expensive they were.

Once I had payed for them and had them in the small paper bag, I headed for Kat's place.

Once I got there I went straight inside without even bothering to knock.

"Kat!" I yelled out.

"I'm in here!" she shouted back.

I followed her voice to the bathroom.

"Did you bring a pregnancy test?" she asked, from where she was sitting in the floor, clutching the toilet seat.

"I brought three..." I replied, tossing her the bag.

She nodded, gratefully.

"Thanks.. I'll just .. You know" she trailed off awkwardly.

I caught on to what she meant straight away.

"Okay, I'll wait out here"

I walked out of the bathroom to the kitchen while she... took the test.

I made myself a cup of tea and sat at the table waiting for her to come out.

Once she did, she sat down next to me slowly.

"I guess all we have to do now is wait.." she mumbled nervously.

I nodded in agreement.

"I guess" I replied.

We waited for the allocated time. Not talking at all really. Both too worried.

"You ready?" I asked once we realised it was time we could check.

She nodded slowly.

"Yeah, yeah.. I can do this.." she sighed.

I took her hand in mine and we walked slowly to the bathroom.

This was it.
It was One Way or Another now.

The three pregnancy tests were lying on top of the toilet seat. Each of them showing the same result.

I gasped.

Positive.
