(Alec's POV)

I sat away from everyone else, taking a swig of my beer and thought about SJ. We were going to be seniors. This was going to be our year and I wanted to make her mine in the process. I've practically been in love with her since we were kids! It was time for me to make a move. I just need to figure out how to do that without completely humiliating myself or losing her.

As i was sitting, I felt a hand on my shoulder. Clarissa.

"Hey, why you over here?" She sat next to me.
"No reason.. Just needed to be alone for sec."
"Alec you've been sitting here for 30 minutes. Are you sure you're okay?"

I sighed. I might as well ask.

"Is this about my Sammykins?" I laughed and nodded my head. As I looked down, she lifted my head up .

"You have to tell her."
"I know! I want to. Believe me it's driving me insane but-"
"You don't want to ruin the friendship?"
"Exactly! What do I do?"

I was frustrated at this point. I mean, I've known this girl my whole life! I cant lose her.

"Okay look, you and I both know SJ. She wouldn't stop being friends with you because of something like that! Just tell her Alec. We all know you've been in love with her for forever! You've seen her at her best and her worst. Let her know how you feel soon."

I love this girl. My confidence level boosted 110%

I stood up with Clarissa and hugged her small frame so tight , u probably would've broke her.

"Thank you thank you!"

She was about to say something when I saw SJ.
I began walking towards her and the rest of the group when I saw 5 other boys follow her to the fire pit.

What the hell?

(Zayn's POV)

"Thanks for the help." She smiled, passing around the drinks she had bought for her friends.

"Oh its no problem at all." I smiled and we kind of started to stare at each other until a guy came behind and hugged her.

I knew she had a boyfriend. .

"Hey boo." He cooed.
She smiled up at him. "Hey bear."

"Oh! Where are my manners? Guys I just made friends with these dudes. Thats Zayn, Liam, Louis, Niall and Harry." We all waved as they all said they're hellos

"And this is Cameron, Kylie, Charlie, Aurora, Stevie, Clarissa, Josh, and my very best friend , Alec."

Best friend? Thank god...

The sun started to set and we were all getting to know each other pretty well.
But the boys and I had decided earlier that we didn't want to tell any of them about that band. It seemed that none of them really knew- it didnt seem like their scene. And we wanted to keep it as normal as possible.

We had music blaring and that's when I realized I was right. They were total Indies! Well thats good. They won't know us if they're super hipsters or whatever.

The boys were helping everyone start a fire. And Cameron came back from getting some things from his car. He said it would really get the party started.

"I'm baaaaack" He slurred.
"What did you bring for us today Cam?" Josh and Aurora screamed in unison.
"I brought the good, the bad, and of course - the dope."
"Sweet! What should we do first?"
"W-wait" Niall stammered, "are you guys taking about drugs?"
"Yeah... What else?"

Cameron lit up the spliff and took a long drag. He handed it off as everyone started to take drags and pass it around.
it got to Liam.
"No thanks. I , uhh don't do that stuff."
"Aww come on. Just one hit!"
"Yah Liam!"
"C'mon man."

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
