Only Let Me Fall If You're Gonna Catch Me

Rachel's P.O.V.

I took a deep breath.

"It's gonna be fine" I reassured myself as I pulled into the school car park. This was gonna be great.

I slipped out if the car quickly and tried my best to stay unnoticed.

I hated being the new kid. It was awful.

Everyone always looked at you and constantly judged you because you were fresh meat.

I ran a hand through my hair, walking towards the large building.

I entered where I hoped the office was, in search for the principal, Ms. Montgomery.

"Rachel Evans!" I turned on my heel quickly to see the small blonde woman running towards me.

"Ms. Montgomery, nice to see you again" I smiled politely at her.I had met her during orientation a few weeks ago.

She nodded in response.

"C'mon to my office and we'll sort out your timetable" she told me, turning back to the direction she had come from.

I assumed I was to follow so I did so cautiously.

As I walked along behind her, I felt the gaze of various different people.

I didn't like being the center of attention.

I followed her into the office and was surprised when I saw there was a other girl waiting there.

"Ms. Evans, this is Myra. Myra this is Rachel Evans, she's the new girl I told you about" Montgomery told her.

I just waved awkwardly.

Myra smiled in response.

Montgomery handed me a piece of paper with a timetable on it.

"Here's your timetable. I suggest you make a copy of it in case you loose it, but Myra here has nearly all the same classes as you so dont worry too much about that" she told me.

I nodded.

"Okay so, I hope you enjoy your time here Ms.Evans" she finished.

I knew it was time to leave and apparently so did Myra. Once we were out in the hall Myra turned to me.

"Might as well get a little extra time off and show you around" she shrugged.

I grinned in response.

We wandered around the school for a while, her showing me various different classrooms, the cafeteria, the music room (which was by far my favourite), the home ec room and such.

We spent a while on looking around before we eventually decided to go to class.

I was in all of Myra's classes between the morning and lunch so I sat next to her in all of them, which I felt about because I was probably holding her from her friends.
When it eventually came to lunch I wasn't really sure what to do. I know I had been tagging along with Mrya all day but I didnt want to ruin her lunch.

She shouldn't have to babysit me.

Thankfully though, she seemed to want me come along.

"I can't wait for you to meet my friends! You're gonna love them!" she told me, once the bell rang indicating that it was lunchtime.

I really hoped she was right.

We made our way to the café. When we got there we got out food quickly and then Myra began scanning the room for something.

She grinned when her eyes landed on a certain table near the back of the room.
"C'mon" she said, picking up her tray and heading straight towards the table.

I followed behind her feeling a little nervous. The table seemed to he pretty full so I was going to have to meet a lot of new people.

When we reaches the table she smiled slightly.

"Guys, this is Rachel! Be nice - she's new here" she told them sternly.

The eight of them looked up at me curiously.

"Rachel, this is Niall, Harry, Carrie, Indigo, Liam, Zayn, Mary and Louis" she told me, going in an anti-clockwise circle around the table.

"Hi" I smiled at them.

I got a murmur of 'hey's and 'hi's in response.

Myra sat down next to the blonde haired boy, Niall I think was his name,who slung an arm around her shoulder casually as they started chatting.

I sat in the seat next to Myra's, leaving me next to the blue-eyed boy, Louis.

I eyed Niall arm. She hadn't mentioned she had a boyfriend.

Louis seemed to know what I was thinking and leaned over to me.

"They're not a couple" he whispered.

I raised my eyebrows.

"Everyone knows they should be though, they definitely like each other. They're both just too stubborn to admit it" he added.

"That's a shame. They'd be cute" I shrugged, turning to face Louis.

He nodded.

"So Rachel, where are you from?" he asked.

I had a feeling I was going to like this school
