Rachel's P.O.V.

I felt guilty as Kay wandered off with that woman. If she got in trouble over Macy it would be all my fault.

I heard the bell signalling lunch was over and headed to class.

Biology.

I walked in to the classroom and took my regular seat in the back bench.

Louis normally sat with me but I was here before him.

I took all of my things out of my bag and laid them on the table.

Then I began nibbling the nail of my thumb.

When I was little I used to suck my thumb whenever I got nervous or upset. Even though I had now grown out of the habit, I liked to have a little chew at my nail every now and then when I got really panicked.

"Hey"

I looked up quickly to see Louis, sitting down on the stool next to me.

"Hi" I mumbled back.

We hadn't spoken since yesterday when he had brought Macy to my house.

"How's Kayleigh?" he asked softly.

I shrugged.

"As good as can be expected. Although she's off at the principals office now" I told him.

He nodded slowly.

I began nibbling at my nail again.

He noticed and frowned.

"Rach, I'm really sorry about Macy. I don't know what it is about you that makes her so.." he trailed off lost for words.

I decided to help him out.

"Bitchy?" I asked.

He nodded.

"I guess. I just really wanted you two to get along. But that's obviously not going to happen" he said.

"Obviously not" I muttered back.

He sighed loudly then, thinking for a minute.

"Do you think maybe if I could get her to apologize to you that you could try start fresh?" he asked cautiously, looking slightly worried at how I might react.

I pondered the idea for a minute.

"And Kay" I added.

"What?" he looked very confused at this point.

"She'll have to apologize to Kayleigh aswell" I told him.

"And then you can try get along with her?" he asked.

I nodded.

"I guess. If it'll make you happy" I instantly regretted the last part but he just grinned.

"Thanks Rach"

At this point the teacher walked into the classroom and so we had to stop talking.

I was extremely sceptical of Louis' idea. I highly doubted Macy would be willing to apologize to me. Or even more so, apologize to Kayleigh.

Then again, she'd do anything to keep Louis.

I was definitely looking forward to her apologizing. I knew she'd hate it.

But if I had to try get along with her to make Louis happy then that's what I'd do.

Louis was after all, the most important person in my life.
