chapter 4:Next Morning
I wake up from someone shaking me.
“Skyler. time to wake up” I hear some say. I groan. What time is it? I wonder to myself. I opened my eyes to see a woman maybe in her late 30’s early 40’s standing over me. i look at her confused. then it clicks. this must be Jay.
“Hi, my names Jay.” she says confirming my thought. I smiled at her.
“My names Skyler but Sky for short,” I replied shaking a little.. Its really cold out I thought“Oh my, you’re shivering lets bring you inside.” she says. I looked around ready to grab my bags.
“Oh Louis and his friends brought them in after I yelled at them,” she says making me chuckle a little.. We walk into the house and there is a little girl running over to us. she looks like she was crying.
“Mommy. Louis wont let me watch TV.” she says while weeping. Jay looks down at the little girl, who must be Daisy I thought. The little girl looks up at me. and smiles.
“Hi. My name is Daisy Tomlinson and i'm 6 years old.” she says. with a lot of enthusiasm. I smiled at her.
“I like to do gymnastics and dance.” she adds.
“My name is Skyler Wood. I’m 17 years old and I like to do Gymnastics and dance too.” I replied looking at her. Her eyes go wide then she looks at her mum.
“Mummy, she is so much more better than Lou. she can dance like me and do Gymnastics.” she tells her mom with a huge smile on her face. Jay smiles at her and nods. Daisy grabs my hand and pulls me somewhere. I chuckle at her eagerness. she opens a door that say Daisy’s room. Do Not Enter. but the S’s are backwards. I smile at her sign. i stopped her from pulling me and. she turns around. Her long brown hair that is in a pony tail whipping around and hitting her in the face.. she furrows her eyebrows and says
“why’d you stop Sky? she asked. I point at the her door
“I'm not allowed to enter silly,” I say. she huffs, then takes down the sign. she smiles at me and pulls me in. I look around the room and it was half a dance half Gymnastics gear. I smiled at all the equipment. she pulls me to the stereo on the other side of the room.
“Dance for me” she said excitedly. I smiled at her and hook up my phone and put on one of my favorite songs to dance to. Say something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera. .
I position myself in the middle of the room and look at Daisy and see her sitting on the floor watching me like a hawk, I laughed silently to myself. The music starts playing and my body is moving gracefully to the music. my legs straight, my posture perfect, my footwork right on point. and then I raise my arms and bend down a little and turn.. I take a head start run and jump in the air. my legs going straight and my feet pointing a little. when the song finished, my body felt like it was on fire, but in a good way though.i hear clapping. i turn and see Daisy and Jay. “sky you were so pretty. You dance so beautiful you made mummy cry.” she said jumping up and down. I looked at Jay and she has tears in her eyes. I blushed and looked at Daisy.
“Thanks Daisy.” I said to her. she smiles big and runs over to her mum.
“Mummy. did you see Sky? she was so pretty. I want to dance just like her.” she says. Jay smiles at her then looks at me then back at Daisy.
“Maybe if Skyler likes it here she may teach you.” daisy instantly perks up and runs over to me.
“Oh please Sky, stay here. you can't leave. now,” she says looking like she was about to cry. I bend down to her height and wipe her tears and give her a hug her.
“Don't worry i’ll stay.” i said looking into her eyes. she smiles and hugs me back..
When we release from each others embrace, Jay starts talking.
“So I was thinking some sandwiches for lunch?” she asks looking at us. “Oh Jay, um can you just make mine with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes.” I ask.ed. She nods then walks out.
I walk into the kitchen to see Daisy eating. “Sky. over here I saved you a spot.” she says standing up in her chair.
“Daisy don't stand up on the chair sweetie.” I said nicely.
“she sits down and continues to eat. Mmhh. this is great Jay.” I say to her. she smiles in appreciation.
“Can i try yours?” Daisy ask me. I smiled at her and hand her my sandwich and she takes a big bite.
“Mhh mommy this is good.” she says chewing it. when she swallows it she hands me her sandwich and says
“Here Sky try mines.” I look at the sandwich and shake my head.
“no thank you.” I say politely. she furrows her eyebrows and looks at me.
“why not?” she asks. pouting slightly.
“Oh um because i'm a vegetarian.” i tell her. she looks at me and tilts her head to the side.
“what's that?” she ask..
“It means she doesn't eat meat” Jay says. i smile at her.
After eating lunch Louis walks into the kitchen and grabs a sandwich. “Well Welcome to the UK Skyler. How did you like the party last night,” Louis whispers. “Well if thats how you make a first impression you didn’t do so well,” I replied rudely. “Well its how its done around here. If you don’t like it you can just leave.” He said. “In your sorry britsh dreams. I plan on sticking around.” I responded. Jay looks at her son and say’s “ Louis go show Skyler her bedroom will you?” She asked. “Of Course mum,” he said. He takes me upstairs to the bedroom next to Dais’. Before I could open my door he grabs my arm and say’s “Sorry about yesterday I was really looking forward to this…. but looking at my sister and seeing her happy makes me happy, so all forgiven?” he asks. NO I thought but I’m not a bitch. “Forgiven, hopefully we can get along because 2 years is pretty long don’t you think?” I said. “ Sure mate, and yes 2 years is long,” he said as he let go and walked to his room I’m guessing. When I open my door its beautiful. It’s painted a light blue and the furniture is white. Perfect I thought.I unpacked all my bags and went to bed early without dinner. Tomorrow is the first day at school I can so do this I thought to myself. As I lied down and closed my eyes the same green eyes were hunting me in my sleep.
