Chapter 23
"Hello baby."He smirked, a sinister smirk that screamed 'danger' was pulled on his features "How are you?"He breathed into my ear, leaning closer and closer, his arms bending on the wall with each inch he closed the space between us.
"H-harry,"I shakily said, my voice just above a whisper. I'm at loss of word, what should I say? 'Oh. Harry I'm fine, life's good over here. How are you dealing with the deep cut I caused you?'?!---No!
"I remember asking you a question," He traced my jaw with his long index finger "mrs.Summers."He spat, his eyes catching a glint of electric blue.
I haven't been in this kind of situation in my life, and I don't know how to deal with it. The way my name flew out of his parted lips was frightening, my body was frozen in place and it seemed to gain an extra layer of sweat from the moment I stepped into this room.
I feel like a rabbit caught in the claws of an eagle, which is about to decide the fate of the poor rabbit. We all know that the poor rabbit's fate will be---wretched? dejected? miserable? I don't even know, those are just understatements no-one should be treated that way.'That's how life goes, life is cruel darling.' My subconscious whispered in my mind. Either it gets out alive and severely wounded, or it will be another ' meal ' for the creature. But the difference between mine and the poor rabbit's situation, is that I'm not as innocent as it is. I did stab my boyfriend. Is he still my boyfriend or ---?
"I'm so sorry, Harry," I shakily squeaked, looking down at the white bandage that covered most of Harry's muscular torso. "I was-"I cut myself off when Harry let out a heavy, humorless laugh.
"Sorry?!"He asked rising an eyebrow. "Don't be."He let out a deep chuckle, making me confused.
Don't be? What the heck?!
"W-what do you mean?"I breathed lowly almost afraid of the answer.
"You just cleared some things out in my mind,"He bit his lips, nodding his head slowly, as if he recalled those things he was talking about. "by attempting to kill me."
"I wasn't trying to kill you!--" He cut me off --again.
"No shit. You were making love to me!"He barked pushing himself a few feet away from me, running his hand through his greasy hair.
"You were choking me!"I yelled back at him"What was I supposed to do!?"I threw my arms in the air to add more tense to our heated conversation.
A loud knock broke our conversation making me look at the door awkwardly, waiting for the very someone who interrupted us.
"Are you guys okay in there?"Niall voice sounded from the door making me roll my eyes in the direction of the door.
"Shut up!"Me and Harry both snapped at the same time, I could imagine Niall lowering his hand from the door, pursing his lips and taking a careful step back, as if the ground he was on could blow up at any second.
Harry's gaze shifted from the door and back at me, making a shiver run down my spine."You denied your love for me, when I loved you idiotically! What was I supposed to feel, other than hatred and betrayal!?" His voice grew louder and louder with each word he spit out.
Hatred. Betrayal. Hurt.Vampire. Electric blue eyes. Fangs. Just per-fect.
'Great, you're going to get us killed.' My subconscious whispered in my mind. Great, I'm going insane.
"Okay,whatever."Niall mumbled behind the door."I'll be in your bedroom, Olivia."
As the sound of Niall's footsteps silenced down, indicating that he was gone from behind the door, silence fell over us.
The air felt thicker and thicker by every moment that passed on us processing Niall's words.
I'll be waiting in your bedroom, Olivia.
Harry faced me, folding his arms over his bare chest. His eyes were electric blue, lips tight in a line and eyes searching mine searching for explanation, which I couldn't give, because there's nothing to explain.
"I'll be in your bedroom, Olivia."Harry mimicked Niall in a low, high pitched voice."Better said, Harry's room that he shares with you, not vice versa."
That's were my realisation kicked in. The room I have been staying in is mine and Harry's shared bedroom, and we're now standing in a guestroom that Harry has been moved in, until he got better.
"May I ask my girlfriend, what the hell my best mate is doing in our room?"My heart skipped a beat at the word 'girlfriend'------he hasn't broken up with me, hmm, that's a relief.
Any other boyfriend would have broken up with me already, and if you think that a stab wouldn't do any harm to a supernatural creature like Harry, you are wrong, the blade I stabbed Harry with was made of pure silver making it as deadly as a normal knife for a human.
He shifted his weight on his right leg in impatience, his arms still folded across his bare chest making his muscular biceps pop out, his features fixed in the same frown, making him look even more sexier than before.
"He's just waiting for me there, to talk, ther--"
"Where you fucking behind my back, while I was gone?"His tone was surprisingly calm and low, however, it made me feel weak and scared, like there was something laced in his words.
"Will you stop cutting me off, whenever I try to say something!?"I almost shouted. Whenever I try to say something and explain myself he has to cut me off and add more tension and awkwardness to the conversation, if you could call it that. It is more of an argument than a conversation to me, but to according to Harry's calm tone and emotionless face it is just a conversation just like every other we had along the time. Great, I talk just like grandma who lived ninety years. Along the time, pfft.
"Then explain,"He extended his right arm at me, motioning for me to go on, and talk."but whatever you're going to say doesn't make you any less of a b.itch."His tone was calm as ever, making it look like he isn't even interested in our 'argument'.
"How can you accuse me of cheating when I have been loyal this whole time!?"I yelled in anger, how dare he!?who knows? He may be the one cheating in this relationship not me! How do I make sure he's as loyal as me? Girls throw themselves at him each passing day, for God's sake!
"You're such a d.ick! I can't believe you are accusing me of cheating!"I yelled angrily pulling at my hair, while moving forwards and backwards on my heels in frustration."You deserve to be cheated on!"I spat in disgust. I amost regretted saying anything when Harry pushed me to the wall, completely sandwiching me between his body and the wall making me gasp.
We seem to get into this position very often, lately.
"I've been cheated on so many times before,"He whispered, his breath fanning over my face, making me gulp at the closiness."and, I wouldn't be surprised if you cheated on me too."
"You're such a d.ick putting me in the same bowl with your ex-es! I'm not like them!"
"You learned a new word? You have repeated the word d.ick several times in the past twenty-four hours."He chukled brushing his cold, wet lips against my earlobe."or maybe you love the word itself."
"No you d.i-"I stopped myself mid-word, making him chuckle."ugh!"
"The last time you called me a d.ick, things didn't end up very well."I gulped at Harry's words."I got stabbed."
"Don't start!"I groaned closing my eyes, as I rested my head on the wall."atleast not again."
"It won't be the same, baby."He pushed my hair behind my back exposing my neck to him."I'm not the one getting, lets say, hurt, this time."I gasped when I felt his sharp fangs graze the skin of my neck after the words rolled off his tongue.
"You are."He breathed into my left ear, leaving a sloppy kiss on my neck, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up in fear.
"H-harry, p-please don't!"I trembled in fear, biting my bottom lip."p-please."
"Now, that wouldn't be fair for me,"He faked a baby face at me, sticking his bottom lip out and fluttered his eyelashes in an exaggerated way."stay still if you want it to hurt less."
"No!"I yelled in fear pushing at his shoulders with all my strength."Let me go you psycho!"
"Stay still!"Harry growled into my neck."or I'll suck you dry!"
"No! Help!"I yelled in fear, banging at his chest to prevent some distance between us, but he just kept kissing my neck."Stop!"I yelled at the top of my lungs, tears falling freely from my eyes.
"Nobody can hear you, baby."He kissed my neck one more time, leaving another sloppy kiss."and if somebody hears you they don't have the guts to disobey me, let alone fight me."
I screamed my lungs out when his fangs sunk into my sensitive skin, sucking my blood out without mercy. Pain shot from my neck and extended to my whole body making me lose my balance. Horrible images flashed across my mind, including Sarah's lifeless body laying a few feet away from me. I never feared Harry, I never though about the consequences of being in love with a vampire, until now, when I'm being bitten for the first time.He snaked his arms around my waist to hold me in place, but that didn't stop him. I felt as my blood ran down my neck, and shoulder, soaking my shirt with this disgusting liquid. He's such a monster.
"H-harry,"I took a short breath, when I felt my eyelids grow heavy, and my arms going completely limp."p-please.."As the plea left my mouth, Harry's fangs parted away from my neck leaving a careful kiss there. Without a word he picked my limp body bridal-style and started walking, until I heard a door creack open and a breeze hit me, making me shiver.
"Shh, baby girl,"I felt his long fingers brush my fallen hair strands away from my face, holding me up with one arm like as if I weighed nothing. He started walking again in a normal human pace, towards our room, I think.
"Niall! Out!"Harry's chest vibrated against my cheek, as he yelled at Niall. Yes, this is our room.
"W-what happened!?"I heard Niall's worried voice, followed by his rushing footstepts.
"Now!"Harry yelled again.
"Olivia! p-please answer! I'm sorry I shouldn't have left you with him--"
"Out!"Harry growled louder tightening his grip on me."or I swear to God I'll rip her head off!"Harry threatened him making my blood freeze in my veins at his words.Please Niall go!I tried to say a word but nothing came out, my head was throbbing and a beeping sound echoed in my ears, from the bloodloss.
Finally, a loud bang sound was heard, and Niall's callings of my name were muffled behind the door. A shiver ran down my spine when I realized that I have been left with Harry again.Harry's loud footsteps were heard as he started walking across the beautiful room towards the bed where he carefully laid me down on my back. My body started shivering because of the cold air in the room, and Harry seemed to notice bacause he pulled the duvet over me gently kissing my forehead. Ugh! He should stop kissing me! I hate him!
"Get some sleep baby."He whispered stroking my hair."I'll wake you up in a few hours before the gathering that we have been invited to starts, to get ready."I kept my eyes shut, pretending to be out cold.
"I'm sorry."He breathed the last time before he got up and left the room, leaving me here alone.
Get some sleep, baby.Were the last words that echoed through my mind before sleep took over me, letting me finally rest.
