Olivia’s P.O.V :


I stared out of Harry’s bedroom window as we sat at his desk ‘studying’ .



Actually he was teaching me , you know I suck at Math and he is a genius so he decided to help me with it .He was repeating the same shit over and over but the view outside the window kept distracting me from concentrating on what he was saying .



The view is of the forest that led me to a lot of questions .I know I’m over thinking this , but I want answers .Since I came here I hear piercing screams every once in a while at around midnight .First I thought it was a bunch of teenagers pulling pranks on us ,but when I heard those screams again and again ,I started re-thinking everything .



This isn’t one of those stupid pranks .



And the police officers should start taking this situation seriously .But they seem to avoid it they are afraid of what’s in there .They try telling us that it’s nothing .But I’m sure as hell that something is happening there ,people are missing ,students at school gone missing and they are telling us it’s nothing !



“Olivia !” I heard Harry calling me ,I looked away from the window and focused on him .



We stared at each other for a bit .He had sweat on his forehead and he looked frustrated ,I felt guilty for not listening to him .



“You weren’t paying attention ,were you? “ He asked pointing to his notes .I bit down on my lips shaking my head slightly .He chuckled covering his face with his hands .He banged his head on the desk a few times when I started laughing .



“Sorry ,Haz , “I laughed putting my hand on his shoulder he stopped and moved his head to look at me .As I looked at him I covered my mouth with the back of my hand ,my elbow resting on the desk .



“Sorry ,” I mumbled resting my forehead on his shoulder ,he huffed and started gathering his stuff .



“Eh ,I wasn’t in the mood of studying either ,”He mumbled getting up ,he looked at me and grinned .



“What ?” I asked . He shook his head looking away .



“Let’s go downstairs and watch something ,” He said looking at his watch “We still have time ,”



Tonight I’m going for a sleep over with Jade and Kristen at Sarah’s .It’s not our first sleep over .It’s like a routine now , every Friday night we have a sleep over at one of the girls ,the last Friday we spent the night at Kristen’s and now it was Sarah’s turn ,and I can’t wait ! We always play challenging games ,watch movies ,we do make up tutorials ,talk about different subjects like celebrity crushes , and boys .



I started giggling at the thought ,and Harry looked at me confusedly ,I put my hand up to reassure him that I’m ok .He looked at me again and continued jogging down the stairs .

We were cuddled against each other ,he was laying on the ‘L’ couch his right arm was resting on my waist,as I laid my head on his stomach facing the T.V screen .The only light in the room was the light coming from the T.V.



“This is my favorite Disney movie ,” I said referring to the Disney movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’ .



We’re watching the part where the beast saves the beauty when she is attacked by wolves in the snowy forest .This part always gets me .The way he fights for her ,the way he’s trying to protect her .



“And why is that ?” He asked referring to my statement about the movie .I turned my head around so now I can face him.



“This movie explains that you can fall for anyone even though he or she is a beast ,”I explained , and he stared into my eyes ,like he was deep in thought until he parted his lips to speak .



“A-and you believe it ? L-like , you believe that someday maybe someday you could fall for a m-monster ?”He asked shakily ,his eyes filled with hope –and I don’t really know why - ,and a small smile playing on his lips .I sat up in ‘indian’ style and smiled back nodding my head slightly .



“Of course ,why not ? If he loves me ,then I’ll try and love him back ,”He smiled at me shifting his position on the couch ,in a sitting position .



“Even if he had fangs ,claws ,eyes that change color ,and that stuff ?”He asked sounding childish ,I laughed at him and nodded my head again .



“I don’t judge a book by it’s cover ,Haz ,” I said “That matters is what’s inside” I said pressing the top of my index finger to his chest .



He opened his arms wide ,welcoming me into his warm embrace I put my head right under his chin as he wrapped his arms around me .If someone looked at us ,they’d think we’re together ,but we’re just ..friends.. right ?



“They’re horrible ,” I mumbled referring to the part were the mob of people decided to kill the beast just because he’s a beast .



“How can they do such a thing ?! He didn’t hurt them ,why are they hurting him then ? Are they hurting him because he fell for a human ? He just loved her and wanted her to love him back ,” I placed my hand over my mouth feeling a limp in my throat ,as I felt tears blurring my view .



This part always got me .People say that it’s just a movie ,but for me it’s not just a movie .It shows you how to love in a right way ,in a correct way .



“Just when she started to grow feelings for him ,they have to ruin everything ?!” I asked frustrated ,letting a few tears escape my eyes .Harry looked over at me ,and scooted closer placing his arms around my shoulder squeezing a little .



“It’s a cruel word ,Olivia ,”He whispered into my ear ,making me turn to face him .



We were so close ,and it made my heart race faster than usual , I could almost hear my heartbeat ringing through my ears .



After a few seconds of staring he inched closer to me ,our lips almost touching .



“But it won’t stop us ,” He whispered ,what did he mean by ---



His lips brushed my lips as if he’s asking me if it’s ok .This guy is testing my patience ,and I can’t take it anymore .



I placed both of my hands around his neck putting pressure on our lips .



As our lips joined together I felt butterflies interrupt in my stomach .Correction : Not just butterflies ! I felt the whole animals in the ZOO escaping their cages into freedom .



Our lips fit together like two pieces of puzzle who finally got the chance to be joined together after a long time of waiting .Our lips moved perfectly in sync together ,when the goddamned doorbell rang through the house .I pulled away feeling my cheeks heat up .



Harry groaned in annoyance and dropped his forehead on my shoulder ,making a giggle escape my swollen lips .



I looked at him and smiled connecting our lips back together ,totally ignoring the person behind the front door who tried to contact us .



After a few moments of our heated moment ,we heard the doorbell ring again but this time the person kept pressing on the doorbell ,making our ears hurt from the piercing sound .



Harry shot up from the couch frustrated ,he looked like he’s going to punch the person behind the door .



I think the girls came to remind me of our slumber ‘party’ ,but why couldn’t they just text me ? I followed Harry silently as we walked towards the door .



“What ?!” Harry snapped with an upset face ,opening the door wide .



Revealing a middle aged man in a uniform .The police officer .



“I – uh ,sorry ..”Harry apologized clearing his throat “How can I help you ?” He asked politely .



“I’m sorry to disturb you sir ,but I wanted to tell you about the curfew ,” The officer explained .



“The curfew ?” I asked confusedly “Why ?”



“I think you heard the news about the missing people here in Holmes-Chapel ,” Oh ,thanks god someone’s taking this seriously .



“We don’t want to risk more people ,do we ?” He asked us ,and we shook our heads ‘no’ .



“The curfew starts tonight "He said writing something on a piece of paper “At 10 p.m I want everyone to be in their homes ,” He said handing Harry the paper ,I peeked over Harry’s shoulder to look at the paper ,and it was a little reminder about the curfew .



We thanked him and nodded our heads .



“Close your curtains and be safe ,” He instructed us ,and wethanked him once more closing the door .



“Curfew ,”I muttered under my breath .



“Fucking curfew ,”He mumbled running his fingers in his hair .



“I gotta go before it’s ten ,” I looked at my watch and it read 8:43 .



I glanced up at him and he had a pouty face on .



I chuckled and came closer to him wrapping my arms around his waist ,and he did the same .I had to look up to be met with his gorgeous eyes .



I stood on my tip toes until our lips hugged each other in a short but sweet kiss .I pulled away and kissed his right cheek .

“Who heard about the curfew ?” I asked randomly ,from the floor .



I am laying on the grey carpet of Sarah’s living room . Sarah was laying on her stomach watching the T.V as Kristen was scrolling through the channels from the couch ,and Jade was laying on the couch with her legs resting on the coffee table .



“The whole town ,”Jade mumbled .



“Let’s do something else !” Kristen cheered after she gave up with the T.V .



“Like ?”I asked ,”We can’t go out it’s –“I looked at my watch “it’s 10:27 p.m “



“Fuck this curfew , since when are we following those stupid rules ?” Jade said getting up in a sitting position .



“It’s for our safet-“



“Safety ,Safety ,Safety ..If it’s meant for us to get kidnapped we get kidnapped ,and if it’s not we’re safe ,” Sarah cut me off .I rolled my eyes at her and looked over at Kristen hoping that she’ll give us a good idea but-



“How about we go and pay that forest a visit ?”Kristen asked pointing to the forest .



“W-what ?!” I almost yelled .



“Calm down ,it isn’t that bad of an idea !” Jade said ,receiving a hard glare from me .Am I the only person sane here or what ? Or am I overacting ?



“Harry said it’s –“But I was cut off again .



“Harry said ,but he’s the one who is walking out there now “ Kristen said .



“How do you know ?” I asked confusedly .



“I saw him walking out of his house a few minutes ago when I was in the kitchen “ She said pointing to the kitchen window .



“Now ! “Sarah clapped her hands together standing on her feet ,”Coats on ,and let’s go !” Sarah commanded with a grin plastered on her face .



I had no choice other than to go with these insane girls that I love to the moon and back and call them my best friends .



I’d rather go out there with them than be here alone in the house .



We all put our coats on and tiptoed through her backyard .



If you’re asking me where are her parents ,let me tell you they’re in heaven with my dad watching us and pulling on their hair at how stupid their daughter's idea is .



And no she doesn’t live , in this big house alone .She lives with her grandparents who I guess are snoring by now .



My boots sank into the mud as I walked on the unbeaten path .It was dark outside , but my torch helped me lighten my way as my boots continued to sink in this mud .



“Girls , are you sure this is a good idea ?” I asked hoping one of the girls would agree with me and we could return back in the safety ,but the girls ignored me completely .



We reached the forest and there was a yellow striped band stopping us from going any further ,but Sarah dodged it completely ignoring the sign ‘Danger’ ,followed by the other two lost girls . It took me a few seconds to decide on what to do .



“I’ll wait you here girls! “ I called as I shivered in my coat ,tightening my grip on my waist .



I waited for their answer but heard nothing ,meaning that they were away already .



I tapped my foot on the ground and jogged in my place trying to warm up myself .



I waited and waited and waited but nobody came out ,and I grew worried about the girls .



I called a few times for them but again I received no response so I decided to go and look for them .



I dodged the yellow strap and passed the ‘Danger’ sign diving completely in the dark forest .



“Girls !” I called as I continued to walk .



“Jade !” “Kristen !” “Sarah !” I called as I tightened my grip on my torch .



“Please let’s go home !” The torch light started to flicker and I just prayed that it won’t leave me here without any light to guide me .



The light flickered and flickered ,leaves and branches cracking under my feet and I felt tears build up in my eyes .I’m so afraid and cold .



I didn’t have to leave Harry in the first place ,we were having a great time and we kissed ! The thought made me smile despise the fact that I was lost ,cold and scared and that my only light could give out at any time .



This boy makes me happy .



I love every moment spent with him .I love his smile ,his laugh ,his dimples ,his curls ,his eyes ,his stupid jokes ,his mood swings ,his everything .I love him .



“Girls !” I called one more time hoping that this time they’ll answer me .But then again nothing .



The light started to flicker and flicker until it gave in.



“No ,no ,no ,no ...please no!” I hit the torch with my hand trying to make it work again ,but luck wasn’t on my side and it never lit up again .



I cried as I looked around me completely lost .



Then a cracking sound was heard from a few feet away from me making me freeze completely in my tracks .



Tears were rolling down my face uncontrollably and my body was shaking like it had been electrocuted .



A piercing scream was heard from my right and I turned around towards the voice .



It wasn’t just a scream it was Sarah’s .After the scream faded I started to run towards where the scream came from .But I saw nothing .



“No !” I yelled noticing Sarah’s lifeless body laying on the ground a few feet away from me .



“Sarah !” I sobbed running towards her ,but a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist stopping me from going any closer .



“No !” I yelled ,and the person hugged me filling my nostrils with his cologne . Harry .



I sobbed into his shirt as he rubbed my back up and down .



“You’re safe with me ,” He whispered into my ears managing to calm me down a little bit ,but the image of Sarah’s lifeless body made a full sob escape my lips .



Harry kissed the top of my head and whispered ‘Shhh’ into my ear ,rocking our hugged bodies side to side .
