Chapter 30: All of you suck
Harry’s POV
“Where’re you taking me?” Sage had blindly led me for about 10 minutes.
The only thing I knew was that we were on the out skirts of town and in the mountains because I drove us out here but since we stepped out of the car, I've have the blindfold on. She laughed pulling my arm so it was around her shoulders. I knew I shouldn’t fight her on it because if it was this big of a secret, it was important to her.
“Okay, stay here.” She stifled her laughter and made me stand still while her footsteps got quieter until they stopped. “Take off the blindfold.”
I did as she said and took it off to see her standing in the middle of a park with a white rose in her hands and a smile on her face. Looking around, I started to recognize where we were; this was where we met.
“Whoa” I breathed out looking at the old playground that held so many memories for me, us.
“Here, this is for you.” She smiled handing me the rose.
I laughed remembering when I first saw her; she was sitting alone at a picnic table with a frown on her face. It was almost sunset and I could tell she’d been crying so I grabbed a rose off one of the bushes and walked up to the table. She sniffled and looked up at me with tear filled eyes and a confused expression. I didn’t say anything to her, I just handed her the rose and sat next to her. After a few minutes of silence, I somehow got her to talk to me and she barely told me what was going on and that was the start of our friendship.
Looking at her now and seeing how much has changed, made me thankful of everything that led up to that day. She was holding out the rose and trying to muffle her giggles when I reached out and took the rose.
“Thanks babe.” I took my other arm and wrapped it around her waist. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” She whispered pulling her body against mine. “You guys were amazing tonight. Why didn’t you tell me about it?”
“It was a surprise.” I let go of her and looked into her eyes. “None of us wanted to tell you, we all know how much you love surprises.” I laughed at her as she pushed my chest with force.
“All of you suck.” She tried pouting but couldn’t hold a frown.
“Whatever.” I rolled my eyes running my fingers through her hair as the wind blew against us. “Why’d you bring me out here?”
“I don’t know, I just miss coming out here.” She shrugged pulling her body into mine for warmth. “I didn’t think ahead about the weather though.”
“We can go if you want and come back when we actually are prepared for the cold?” I wanted to stay but I was cold too and I knew she wanted to leave.
“Can we really?” She seemed relieved as I nodded. “Thanks Harry.”
“Thank you.” I mumbled leaning down to kiss her lips.
Our lips moved in sync as her hands gripped the back of my shirt, holding us together. I felt a raindrop fall from the sky before a few more that turned into full on raining within seconds. We laughed and pulled back from the kiss looking into each other’s eyes.
“Let’s go.” I mumbled grabbing one of her hands from my back and lacing our fingers together.
