That wasn't part of the deal

I wait back stage with Alice laughing at our costumes. We're dressed as rag dolls, and have white faces and pink cheeks. Alice heads back to her dressing room to finish getting ready, and there is a knock on the door. "Come in!" I say, and Liam walks in with a vip pass around his neck. "LEEUUM!" I yell, and he picks me up and whirls me around. "You ready for the group performance?" I say. "How much do you want to bet on it?" I laugh and we head backstage.

After the group performance, I have a while to wait for my performance. We sit and Alice, Liam, and me watch the show from my dressing room. The judges seem really harsh today, and i notice alice is getting nervous. "Come on Alice! Its almost your turn! they'll be wanting you backstage." we leave to go back stage just as Alice is called. "Good luck Alice!" I yell. "You'll rock it!" Liam shouts after her.

She is singing firework and is really rocking it. But at the end, she seems to lose confidence, and starts to muck up a bit. Only noticeable from people who have watched rehearsals. The crowd doesn't seem to notice much though, and is cheering her on. The judges aren't so happy though, she only gets two good votes. She walks off stage smiling, then bursts out into tears. I hug her and tell her how much the audience was cheering, and Liam told her that he loved it. She smiled a bit and walked back to her dressing room.

I am called to go on stage. I jump up and down three times and walk on. I'm going for the subtle song this week, as last weeks song was really big and I love variety. I stand in front of the microphone and wait for my music. When it doesn't come I stand there looking confused for a second, but then sing softly into the microphone.

The cheering erupts from the crowd who have been swaying softly to my voice. "I gather you were expecting music!" says the host and we turn to listen to the judges.
"Cant believe you had a whole stadium entranced with just your voice!"
"Wonderful"
"So much variety in your voice!"
"Not my favourite song, but alright on the improvising."

I walk off stage and hug Liam. He's so good to be here for me, even when I don't know him so well. I find Alice and we walk on stage for judging. The host gives walks on "The first three through from public voting are... Alice, George, and Rebecca!" I smile at alice weakly and my stomach sinks. What if I don't get through? "And the first three through from Judges voting are... Maë, Alan, and Jeff!" I scream and hug Alice forgetting we are on stage. The audience laughs and we get sent off stage. back in the dressing room, I ask Alice, "What was making you distracted on stage? "I saw a kid who looked just like my little sister, but it couldn't of been because she died when I was 12." I hug her and tell her i'll text her later.

We walk out together, and are both greeted by those people outside again. We get in our cars and go sleep
