That wasn't part of the deal
Chapter three
I look around at my group. Its half way through boot camp, and i'm missing Lily. There are 50 of us left, but only twelve will go through to the actual show. Today we are doing busking, and the group with the least money at the end is up for elimination. We also have our interviews, where they find out all the sappy stuff so we can be featured.
Our group hits the sidewalk and starts to sing. We are doing a-cappella and we sound awesome. We've gone through almost 25 songs and its time to head back. We made $230 and we are all hoping it will be enough to get us through.
Getting back to the main camp, the judges count the money. We came second, but at least we're not up for elimination. I get called for my interview.
"Why did you choose to come on X factor?"
"My friend made me."
"And are you're parents proud of you?"
There it is. The question that I have been dreading. Here goes.
"Actually I don't know who my parents are. I live at the cambridge home for girls. Miss Miller is really proud of me though!
"And how many people live at the home?"
"Only 12 permanents, but we get foster kids and kids who come and go too."
"And what would you do with the money if you won?"
"Well half the money I earn until I am eighteen goes to the home, but i would save the rest up for later on in life I reckon."
"Nice talking to you!"
"You too!"
Thank god thats over.
