The Best Friend Code

"Oh, honey, you look wonderful! So fashionable! Perfect! Better than an ordinary girl!" Lilac screeches and kisses me on both cheeks. I smear the lipstick. Umm.. my hair is in a messy ponytail and I don't have any makeup on and my clothes were at the edge of my bed.

"Yeah, I tried to."
"Now, have you been practicing as Theresa?" I nod.
"Meet.. Julia!"
A girl about my age walks in. "I'm Julia." She says shyly. "I'm playing your twin."
"Nice to meet ya, Julia." I smile. She blushes and stammers, "H-H-Hi."

"Now, let's go play the part where Theresa is discovering Julia dead." I nod as they give me my outfits for the movie and we both put them on.
They hustle me over to the styling station and dye my hair jet black, removing any trace of strawberry blonde hair.
They leave Julia alone except for blue contacts.

She already has black hair, anyway, but green eyes, like mine.
"Jade!" Lara runs inside with the guys and Janie trailing behind her.
I blink.

"Err.. Lara?"
"You are on private property -"
"Hush up, dog boy." Janie pushes through the crowd and gushes, "How pretty do you look?"

"Umm.." I trail off.
"Move your excuses for asses so I can shoot!" I laugh as they stop me to smear on piercing red lipstick.
"You look like a fashionable killer," Louis teases.
"That's what I'm supposed to be, Tomlinson." I smile as they hustle me away.
That's when we start.

Theresa (Tess) walks through an alleyway with a gun in her hand. Her black nail polish is splattered in blood. Her fingers are cold and stiff but she walks in quick, small steps across the alley. That's when she screams. "Tess!" Christine yells and grabs her sister's hand. Tess moves her hand with the butt of her gun. "Don't kill him!" Christine sobs, clinging to her hand. "I have to! I - uh... what was the line?"
"Oh, dammit!" Lilac says loudly. We restart and continue.

"I have to! It's the only way.." Tess says and chants, "The only way, the only way." She fires a bullet into the crowd of people in front of the dark alley that can't see because of the darkness. Blood from the victim speeds onto Christine's skin. She shakes with every breath. Christine tries to convince Tess to stop until Tess can't take it, and she fires a bullet through Christine's head. It's quick and simple, not messy. Tess starts to run, little bricks from her footsteps going into the holes of her sandals and into her hair. She knows her sister is dead. She knows she killed her. She huffs and puffs and her sandals go into pools of blood. She murdered her own sister. That's when she hears a scream - but a man's scream. She knows it is Blake's..

"CUT!" Lilac screams at the top of her lungs. I fall down on the floor and my face drops on the green screen as my nails get newly polished.
"We got it! Next week is the kiss scene, get ready, my lovely little actress!" Lilac kisses me on both cheeks again.

As I walk outside after changing into my original outfit, I sigh heavily.
"What's wrong?" Liam pokes me in the shoulder.

Janie starts walking beside me. Great, the whole family.
"It's this stupid kiss scene I have to do," I start.
"Hell no!" They say together. I laugh a little.
"Calm down, guys. A little kiss won't hurt."
"You can't kiss!"
"You can't even make out with anyone!" Janie remarks.
"You suck at romance!" Liam teases.

"I just need a little help." I smile.
