Use Somebody
Bloody Twitter
General POV:
The rest of the day went on relatively uneventful. None of the boys tried anything more with the girls, even though Cassie clearly noticed how well Demi and Niall got along. It was a foggy, quite rainy Sunday and everybody enjoyed just hanging around.
“I'm surprised you guys don't have any appointments for the next couple of days,” Demi said when they were just watching TV.
“I know, it's sort of a small miracle,” Liam answered her. He looked at the rest of his bandmates and clearly noticing their exhausted faces, he added: “And we needed a miracle.” Demi smiled at him and felt Niall's hand pulling her closer. He had left his arm around her body constantly the whole day.
“I'm glad we're here. With you,” he whispered in her ear. She shot him a winning smile.
“But I'll have a few appointments during the week. I'll even be in LA from tuesday to thursday,” she said with slight regret in her voice.
“Cassie here sure can take care of us,” Louis chimed in and gestured towards the actress who had fallen asleep next to Liam. They all noticed how she kept her distance from Harry and Zayn, and found that rather amusing.
Liam smiled down at Cassie, who was slightly leaning onto his shoulder. “She looks so peaceful.”
“Too peaceful,” Louis said and by the tone of his voice they could hear that he was up to no good. He smiled his best villain's smile and got out his phone. Walking over, he crouched down in front of her and took a quick picture.
“Louis, what the fuck are you doing?” Liam interfered.
“Letting our fans know who we're with,” he said and they could hear their phones beep only seconds later.
“New tweet...” Harry read slowly and realisation dawned on him. “Oh, no you didn't!” he said and started giggling.
“I did,” Louis said proudly.
“Did you just tweet that picture?” Demi asked a bit shocked. Louis only grinned at her. “That's gonna get you and her into so much trouble,” she continued. “Last time I checked, she wasn't up for that whole crazy fans-thing.”
“The word's dedicated,” Louis corrected her. She rolled her eyes at this but laughed. A few minutes later, Cassie's phone started ringing and she woke up with a jolt, flinging her hands in the air.
“Ich bin wach! Ich bin wach! Was, wo?” she started talking in German and the boys couldn't hold back their laughter.
Cassie's POV
My phone woke me up and the first thing I did was talk in German, how embarrassing. I stuck out my tongue at the boys while I hurried over to the kitchen counter to get it. My publicist again. What now? I didn't do anything, I was only sleeping.
“I didn't do it!” I answered. I got laughter in return, on both sides.
“Why didn't you tell me you were with One Direction?” she asked slightly amused. Good, she wasn't angry.
“Because I didn't know until a few hours ago. Wait, how did you find out?” I asked suspiciously.
“Sweetie, never underestimate the power of Twitter. One of the boys tweeted a picture of you sleeping.”
“They did WHAT?” I screamed and turned around. All of them immediately pointed a Louis, who laughed and waved, looking proud. “You son of a...” I started, but Sandra cut my off.
“Don't be mad, it's awesome publicity. Get them to tweet more, you looked absolutely beautiful. That's the kind of thing we need. So that people see that you're not still hung up on Joe, but getting distractions,” she said, and actually sounded kind of proud.
“But I didn't ask for these sorts of distractions!” I almost yelled at her. “And they're not taking any more pictures while I'm unconscious. Obviously, they have boundary issues!” I argued my case.
“Cass, I really don't care what's going on exactly, just let yourself be seen with them, okay?” she tried to plead with me. I shot a glance at the crowd, who was watching me. Actually, they were kind of cute. And I had always been very playful. I sighed.
“Okay, if you say so,” I gave in. She almost squealed at the other end of the line. I decided that was enough so I hung up. I massaged my palms and went over to Louis. Time to play. Very slowly and seductively, I let myself down on his lap and put my arms around him. He looked surprised, but pleased. I leant in closer to his ear and whispered “Don't. Ever. Do. That. Again.” then I liked right into his ear. He struggled beneath me and let out a loud “Eeeeeww!” I started giggling and got up. Blowing them a kiss, I exited. Applause followed me.
“Oh god, we're in for a hell of a ride,” I heard Zayn say to the other boys. I smiled contently and dialled a number I hadn't dialled in a very long time. I needed to get my sexual frustration away, or stuff would happen that I didn't like so much. He picked up after the third ring.
“Baaaaaabes, haven't heard from you in a long time,” he greeted me over-cockily.
“You in New York?” I asked plainly.
“Yep.”
“Wanna hook up tonight?”
“I was hoping you'd ask that. Where are you?” he said. I told him the address. “Be there in 30.” I could hear the grin in his voice. I hung up and went to the bathroom to get ready. Was it a good idea? Maybe, maybe not. But I needed to show these boys that I preferred men, not them.
Harry's POV
While we continued watching some TV, I couldn't get Cassie out of my head. She was fit, funny and witty, and I desperately wanted to hook up with her. I have to admit, earlier, when she was under me, I had to fight very hard not to get the obvious hard-on. Her emerald eyes seemed to pierce into my very deepest thoughts and desires, and for the first time in a very long time, a girl genuinely interested me beyond the point of just hooking up. I was already planning on how to get her interested, but it wouldn't be so easy. She had made it quite clear that she didn't want any of us. But I knew she liked teasing us. So there must be something.
The doorbell got me out of my thoughts and Demi got up to answer it. I heard her greeting someone, sounding surprised. She walked in with a quite good-looking young lad, something about him seemed familiar, though I was sure I had never met him before.
“She's in the last room down the hall. To your left,” she said and he quickly nodded at us before heading off. Demi sat back down on the couch.
“Who was that?” Zayn asked interested.
“Dave Franco, Cassie's ex,” she replied nonchalantly.
“Franco? As in James?” Liam asked. He was very fond of films.
“Yep, his little brother,” she stated. Our eyes grew wide.
“Why is he here?” Louis asked.
“Booty call, I guess,” Demi tried to play it down. Right then and there, I felt a little sting. Was I jealous? Damn, that girl had gotten to me.
When the boys and Demi went to bed a few hours later, neither Cassie nor Dave had shown themselves. Harry and Zayn were obviously in a bad mood over that.
“They didn't even get some food,” Niall said to Demi while brushing their teeth. They were bathroommates, too.
“Their relationship was a very sexual one, if I remember correctly,” she answered.
“Why is she doing this? Does she want him back?”
“I don't think so. I guess she just needs to get rid of some... tension, you know? Her last breakup was a bit rough.”
“Right, she dated that other actor, didn't she? Demi nodded. “What happened?” he continued.
“I don't really know, she doesn't talk a lot about it. Something major, as far as I can tell,” she explained.
“Hmm,” was the answer she got. “I'm pretty sure we're gonna find out,” he said and leant over to give her a small peck on the cheek. “Sleep tight, beautiful.”
“You, too,” Demi smiled and watched him exit. She put her hand on her belly, where dragonflies seemed to buzz around in. “Damn it!” she said to herself and stomped into her room. She was falling for him. Hard.
