Use Somebody
Earth to Zayn
Demi's POV
Niall played with my fingers while we were sitting on the couch. The boys got here about an hour ago, and when the rest hurried off to get settled in, we stayed on the couch to talk a bit more. I really like Niall. He's funny and caring, not to mention very nice to look at. I just didn't know where I wanted to go with this... whatever it was between us. It's pretty awkward when someone confesses your love for you so many times over TV, and then you finally meet and you click.
“How long do you want us here?” he asked and I pulled out of my thoughts.
“Um... as long as you want, basically. I don't mind having you guys round,” I beamed up at him. He smiled and put one arm around me.
“Then we'll stay here as long as we can. We have a few appointments in New York, but some days off in between, so leaving wouldn't be such a great idea anyways,” he said in his cute accent. I smiled happily. We heard laughter from the hallway and Harry, Louis and Liam walked in.
“Hey, guess what just happened?” Louis asked eagerly. We just looked at him expectantly. “We walked into Cassie's room to watch her sleep, and...”
“You did what?” I asked in disbelief. These boys... I should've known they don't have any boundaries.
“Chill, Demi, I'm sure it'll be fine. Anyways, we walked in and sat down on her bed, and she suddenly woke up and Harry fell out of the bed!” he finished his story and rolled around the couch laughing, holding his stomach. Liam also couldn't hold back a laugh and Niall was giggling, anyways. The corners of my mouth twitched upwards when I looked at Harry, who only scratched his head.
“She scared me. That was a death glare,” he justified his clumsiness. Now I couldn't help but laugh as well. They were just too amusing. The others sat down and we continued chatting. I told them it wasn't okay to barge in on girls like that, but they wouldn't listen. After about ten minutes, Zayn joined us, a huge grin on his face.
“Whaddup, bro?” Louis asked him in a fake American accent. “You look happy. Too happy.” Zayn turned to look at us and it felt like he needed a moment to come back to Earth.
“I just watched Cassandra Kennedy take a shower. And then she pranked me,” he said and the others gasped. “She's a keeper, guys,” he added.
“What the... how did you do that?” Harry asked, shock written all over his face. Zayn had game, but not that much – or did he?
“We're bathroommates, dude. Just saying,” he smiled and Louis went over to punch him.
“Not fair! I called dibs!” he screamed. Harry started arguing with the two of them, and soon they were on a ball on the floor, screaming and kicking and laughing. Liam just sighed and buried his face in his hands, whereas Niall giggled and drew me closer.
“Looks like they like her,” he said into my ear. Watching the mess of legs, hair and arms on the floor I turned to look at him.
“Let's just hope she likes them back,” I said with a grin.
