Use Somebody
August 2015 - Part 3
LMC's POV (on Grimmy's producing team):
“Goooooood morning, everyone! It's a wednesday, 6:34, and this is Nick Grimshaw with a special guest here for you until 10 o'clock this morning. You wanna know who's with me? Well, you'll find out after the next track; stay tuned!” Nick said happily into the microphone and they switched to the music. He looked at me eagerly, motioning to the phone.
“Any minute now,” I said, referring to when Cassandra Kennedy was about to show up. She promised Grimmy to be on the show, but no sign of her yet. I had just talked to her, though, and she was in a cab on her way.
“What did she sound like?” he asked me.
“Hungover,” was my simple answer, which was completely true. Grimmy laughed loudly.
“Excellent, that means I can torture her even better for bailing on my birthday,” he said and fumbled around with a few buttons. That moment, the door to our studio opened and in walked Cassie. My eyes widened by her appearance, she looked absolutely stunning, even hungover, and I had a serious girl crush on her for years now. I just really liked her style and acting choices.

She greeted Grimmy joyfully and then came over to where I was at.
“Hey, you're LMC, right? So nice to finally meet you, I've heard a lot about you,” she said and hugged me. I was surprised by her warm welcome, and heavily fangirling on the inside.
“Oh, wow, thanks, you too!” I managed to blurt out and Grimmy basically had a field day with my reaction. Cassie smiled friendly and sat down opposite Nick. The track was just ending and it was time to introduce her.
Cassie's POV:
My stomach was doing somersaults and my head was pounding like a jackhammer, but I concentrated hard not to sound too bad. It was national radio, over all.
“So, as I already said: we have a special guest in the studio with us today, why don't you on ahead and introduce yourself?” Nick said after the music stopped and I moved to the microphone.
“Good morning, Great Britain, this is Cassandra Kennedy speaking,” I simply said, my voice slightly hoarse from last night. Remind me never to drink with Niall again.
“Yay! Cassie Kennedy is here! She finally resurfaced from her hiding and now she's back! Isn't that right, Cassie?” Nick teased me.
“I needed some time off, yeah, but now I'm back,” I said flatly, not too excited about him being so energetic about all this.
As the show went on, my mood got better, even though Nick had me do all sorts of ridiculous things, like sing him happy birthday or call his mother and apologise for not coming at Christmas. At one point, he gave me a helmet with a camera on top and had me stroll through the Radio 1 office in a ridiculous bikini. I did it because I just love him to pieces.
“Alright, it's almost the end of this fantastic show today, that means it's time for a caller to review it! Caller, are you there? What did you think of today's show?” Nick asked into the line.
“Hey, there, Grimmy and Cassie,” a very familiar deep voice echoed through the speakers, and both our eyes grew wide. Grimmy let out his typical girly laugh, whereas I just groaned.
“Well, if it isn't Harry Styles! Hello, popstar!” Nick said after he had finished freaking out.
“Hi, Nick, how are you?” Harry said calmly.
“Oh, I'm good, I got to humiliate Cassie the whole morning long, did you watch it?” he said happily.
“Yeah, I did. It was really funny,” Harry answered. I hid my head in my hands. Grimmy laughed at this loudly.
“Oh, I wish you could see Cassie right now. Proper embarrassed,” he commented and I mumbled a silent 'shut up, Nick' which only amused him more.
“Yeah, you were a bit mean to her,” Harry said.
“Oh, look at that, Harry Styles, knight in shining armour, defending his ladies' honour...” Nick awed and my eyes became big. He did not just say that???
“But anyways, did you enjoy the show?” Nick tried to continue the show, simply ignoring what he just said.
“Yeah... it was funny. Cassie's got a good radio voice,” Harry said and I could hear the grin in his voice. That tosser was making fun of me for my hangover voice.
“She does, really raspy, right?” Nick teased and I just shook my head and hid behind the microphone.
“And that part with the bikini was funny, too,” Harry continued and Nick laughed again.
“Thanks, Harry,” I mumbled into the microphone to prevent Nick from saying more inappropriate things.
We chatted a little while longer, and then Sara Cox came in, and before I could fully comprehend what happened, the show was over. I let out a loud sigh and lay down on the floor of the studio. The crew was making fun of me, but I needed to do it for a moment, my head and stomach were turning like crazy. After a couple of minutes, the others left and Nick laid down besides me.
“Are you mad?” he asked. I smiled and shook my head.
“Naw, I deserved it. Just wished I was sober for it,” I confessed.
“I think that's what made it even funnier,” he chuckled.
“The press is gonna go crazy cause of Harry,” I continued on.
“Well, the pictures of the two of you yesterday are already all over the web, so I guess it's not news, right?” Nick said and I nodded.
“Yeah, was about to happen,” I commented. Nick took one of my hands and squeezed it tightly. I looked at him on my left side. He was studying me closely.
“Are you happy with him?” he asked in all seriousness. I swallowed hard before answering.
“He makes me the happiest I ever could be. But it's all the attention that makes me go crazy. I don't think I can handle it, Nick,” I said honestly. He nodded and squeezed my hand tighter.
“You know how you can satisfy their thirst for pictures?” he said.
“No, what do you have in mind?”
“Be honest. Release pictures of the two of you, tell the world what you are, and try not to sneak around. If it's not a secret, it's not that interesting,” he suggested and I thought it over for a moment.
“You're right, Nick. It's a good idea, I'll have to talk to Harry about this, though. Let's hope their stupid management is not against it.”
“Why are they with them anyways? They are always meddling with their private lives, it's horrible!” Nick said.
“I really don't know, but we'll figure it out,” I assured him and we looked at each other again. He threw one leg and one arm around me in that moment and snuggled up to me.
“Ouch, Nick, that hurts!” I squealed as he squeezed me real tight.
“I don't care, I'm just happy you're back and you and Harry are finally together,” he said and I chuckled.
“Me too, Nick. Me too,” I said dreamily and closed my eyes for a second. All of a sudden, I was dead tired.
Harry's POV:
I decided to pick Cassie up from the Radio 1 studios and was casually strolling down the corridor to their studio when I met Matt Fincham.
“Hey Matt, how are you?” I greeted him happily and we shook hands. He was a nice lad.
“Good, good, although the show was quite the mess,” he said and we both laughed.
“Oh, I loved it! By the way: where's Cassie?” I asked.
“They're still in the studio, I think, she wasn't feeling too good,” he said and I thanked him and went there. I did not see anyone in there from outside, but when I entered, I could hear Grimmy's snoring and looked at the floor in surprised. Curled together in a tight embrace were Cassie and him, sleeping like babies on the carpeted floor. I chuckled to myself and took a quick picture, tweeting it immediately.
Walking over, I shook Nick's shoulder and he woke with a jolt.
“Oh, hey Harold,” he said and detached himself from Cassie, who was still fast asleep. I motioned him to go outside with me and we just left Cassie in the studio.
“Nick, I need to talk to you,” I said while we were walking to the canteen. He shot me a panicked look.
“You're not gonna break up with her, will ya?” he asked.
“No! I'm far from it!” I assured him and he let out a loud breath.
“Good, you scared me there for a moment, Harold!” he said dramatically.
“It's something serious, though,” I continued and he eyes me critically. “I think I need your advice...” I started and we sat down at a table. Time to talk to someone about my master-plan.
“Goooooood morning, everyone! It's a wednesday, 6:34, and this is Nick Grimshaw with a special guest here for you until 10 o'clock this morning. You wanna know who's with me?
