Cassie's outfit:

(http://www.polyvore.com/happy_birthday/set?id=70834138) - I fucking love that dress so much!
Cassie's POV:
“You really think this is a good idea? I heard that Taylor might make a surprise visit,” I asked Nick, looking out the window of our taxi.
“Please, darling, that's just publicity. Harry never really liked her,” he replied. I arched one eyebrow.
“He didn't?” I asked.
“Nu-uh. All fake,” he said. I nodded gravely, asserting the situation while tugging at the hem of my dress. “Cassie...” Nick drawled and I looked at him. He had that pitiful expression on his face again. “He misses you, and you miss him. I don't see why you don't want to go.”
“It's just... there's a lot of unspoken things between us. I don't know how this will end...” I said insecurely. Nick patted my arm softly.
“Heads up, Cass, it's a fuckin' parteeeeey! There's loads of people around, I bet you won't even run into him all the time,” he tried to cheer me up. I gave him a small smile and we got out of the taxi, which has stopped. We walked up the few steps to one of London's hottest night clubs, where Harry's 19th Birthday party was happening tonight. I took a deep breath and let the Grimster take my hand to guide me through the horde of paparazzi outside. Oh my, how happy they must be to get my picture. I could already see the headlines... We got rid of our cloaks and stepped inside a huge room, throbbing to the sound of a rock tune. There were famous and beautiful people everywhere, and I could practically feel Grimmy's happiness. This was exactly his thing.
I originally hadn't planned on coming to the party, but he convinced me after about an hour of continuous pro's-listing. Harry didn't know, and I had absolutely no idea how he would react. We met for coffee twice since I came back from Scotland and after he broke up with Taylor, but it was always very public, and we couldn't fully enjoy ourselves. Additionally, a couple of days ago, pictures of me and Kit made their way into the tabloids, and I had no idea how Harry felt about that.
“I see Harry! Let's go say hello!” Grimmy brought my thoughts back to the present, and dragged me through the crowd. I barely had time to catch my breath before Nick released Harry from a tight hug and he turned around to face me. His facial expression changed from pleasant to slightly shocked and we locked eyes. It felt like an eternity...
Harry's POV:
“Harold!” I heard the unique voice of my favourite radio DJ and turned around to be engulfed in a bone-crushing embrace.
“Grimmy, I'm so glad you could come,” I said and smiled at him. He patted me on the shoulders happily.
“Sure thing! Look who I brought!” he then said and nodded to his right side. I glanced over his shoulder and my heart stopped for a brief second. She came. I looked at her and for a moment, it felt like we were the only two people on the whole planet. I don't know if it was the vodka I had in my system, or if it was my heart taking over my body, but before I could help myself, I stormed forward and hugged Cassie tightly, lifting her off the ground. I could hear her precious laugh in my ear and I let her down again. Our foreheads were pressed together and I stroked a strand of hair out of her face. I was so angry at her a few days ago when I saw those pictures, but then again, we had set down rules, and she didn't exactly break them. At that moment, though, I was just so happy that she was here, with me.
“You came,” I said so only she could hear.
“Of course. Happy Birthday, Harry,” she gave back and leant in to give me a soft kiss on the cheek. I closed my eyes and enjoyed her touch before she drew away too soon. I smiled at her and she gave me her crooked smile back. I loved that smile.
“Hey, Harry, a bunch of people have arrived and they wanna give you their present!” I suddenly heard Louis from behind me. I groaned in annoyance. He appeared to my left and greeted Cassie happily. “Oh, hey Cassandra. How lovely of you to be here tonight. The rest of the lads are over there, in the corner bar!” he gave her a kiss on the cheek and motioned towards the darkest corner of the club. Cassie smiled at him and then looked at me.
“Good to know, I'll head over there. Enjoy your party, Harry,” she then said and brushed my arm ever so slightly when she went away.
“She's looking fine tonight,” Louis commented once she was gone. I grunted.
“I know... now, who has come?” I changed the subject and let Louis led me away.
Zayn's POV:
“Mate, you should cheer up, it's Harry's party!” Niall almost screamed into my ear. I ignored him and took a long sip of my drink. While everyone was enjoying themselves, I sat in our booth in the corner, grim-faced and evil-minded. My hand hurt like bloody hell since I got into the fight two days ago, and every one in the room thought I was a cheating asshole. Which was true, though. The cheating part at least. I really didn't get why it was such a big deal. Even Perrie knew that I wasn't always faithful, but she was enjoying the media attention and acted like the victim. Needless to say, I wasn't particularly interested in socialising.
A woman suddenly sparked my interest, and I watched closely as a slender figure, dressed in a tight, turquoise dress approached our group. She had bright red hair and when she came closer, I suddenly recognised her as Cassie. Wow, that hair! It fit her very well. And that dress... let's just say she got my juices flowing.
“Hey boys,” she said cheekily while she came over. We all got up and gave her bear-hugs. It had been 5 months since we'd last seen her.
“You look beautiful tonight, Cassie,” Liam complimented her while she sat down between Niall and me.
“Thanks, Liam, So do all of you guys. I swear to god, you're just getting more and more attractive,” she laughed and her eyes stopped at my hand. “Oh my god, Zayn! What happened?” she gasped.
“Rough couple o' days,” I simply gave back. She studied my face for a moment before answering.
“Wanna talk about it?” she asked. I thought it over for a second but then decided against pouring my heart and soul out to her.
“Nah, let's drink instead,” I said and gave her a vodka and Red Bull. Her face lightened up and we said cheers.
“I like your way of thinking, Malik,” she said and I grinned at her maliciously.
“You know what, Cassie, I think I'm gunna get you drunk tonight,” I announced. Her friendly smile turned into a cheeky one.

“You can try. But honestly, I think I'll be doing a pretty good job at that myself,” she said huskily, bringing her face closer to mine. We stared at each other for a quick moment, and I felt that spark in my insides ignite. My Cassie-chemistry was back, and it was stronger than ever. And by the look on her face, she felt it, too.
“Woah, guys, look who's just arrived!” Liam interrupted our little staring session and pointed at the door. I looked over and saw a tall, dark-haired woman flinging her arms around a shocked Harry. Caroline had come.
Cassie's POV:
I followed Zayn's eyes and assessed the situation. That woman seemed slightly familiar. “Who is she?” I asked.
“Caroline Flack. Broke Harry's heart two years ago,” Zayn commented. My brows shot up in surprise.
“Seriously? She looks... mature.” Niall burst into laughter.
“Nice way to put it, Cass, and yeah, she's like 30 or so,” he cleared for me. I watched Harry as he started chatting with his former love. He seemed genuinely pleased to see her.
“Is there still something going on?” I questioned carefully, watching slightly angry as her hand rested awfully long on his biceps and how she flicked her hair seductively.
“Dunno, Harry doesn't really talk about his feelings a lot,” Liam said. I huffed and looked away from the couple, who was now joined by Nick, who greeted Caroline happily. Traitor.
“Zayn?” I asked, making him look at me.
“Yes, love?” he said.
“Let's get shit-faced,” I said gravely and took his good hand to lead him to the liquor.
“As you wish, Miss Kennedy,” I heard him growl low behind me, and when we arrived at the bar, he put his hands on my hips and rested his head on my shoulder, spooning me from behind. And at that moment, I honestly didn't care.
Harry's POV:
I had finally greeted everyone and had some time to catch my breath and enjoy myself. People were trying to talk to me all the time, and Caroline hasn't really bothered leaving my side, and I just needed a fucking break. It was my birthday, after all, and I wanted to have fun. I spotted Zayn and Cassie at a bar and made my way over. Caroline came with, of course. I was absolutely shocked that she had come, but I honestly didn't really mind. She was a great shag, and easy on the eyes, too. Her personality was a little bit too fake for me, though, that's why we broke up in the end. But that was a long time ago, and now was completely different.
As we came closer to the other couple, I could see Zayn's hand lingering on the small of Cassie's back, and he was whispering something in her ear while leaning in really close. She laughed lightly and when Zayn looked at her, he had that sex-predator look in his eyes. Oh, no! He would not take Cassie home tonight. Lately, his antics had gotten a bit out of control.
“Hey guys, I need a drink,” I said and stopped in front of the two. They looked as if I had just interrupted something.
“Oh, hey Harry, what would you like?” Cassie immediately asked and turned around so she could order.
“Vodka and Bull, and for you?” I asked Caroline, who was quiet so far.
“Same,” she said to Cassie and pressed her body seductively against my side. I saw Cassie's eyes widen slightly, but she turned around and ordered for us. Once she got the drinks, she handed them to Car and me.
“I'm Cassie, by the way,” she said with a friendly smile.
“I know who you are, I'm a big fan. Caroline Flack,” Car said back and they shook hands.
“Thanks, it's lovely to meet you. Let's cheer to that!” Cassie said and we clinked our glasses. I smiled at Cassie while doing so. I was really grateful for the fact that she was such a civilised human being. I'm pretty sure Taylor would have thrown a hissy fit had she met Caroline.
“So, Cassie, I heard you're dating Kit Harrington? He is so gorgeous,” Caroline started babbling away and I almost choked on my drink. Why would she do that? Cassie looked a bit taken aback, but then she just chuckled.
“Well, between you and me, it was nice to have someone those cold winter nights in Iceland, but he's getting a bit on my nerve now,” she then said and shot me a quick look. I tried to make an indifferent face.
“Not good in the sack, huh?” Zayn chimed in and winked at Cassie. She looked at him surprised for an instant before bursting into laughter. We all looked at her while she just continued laughing. Oh, god, it's one of her laughing fits again.
“And what's so funny this time, Cass?” I asked once she had cooled down a bit.
“You know what,” she started and took her drink and purse, obviously making ready to leave us “I'm gonna go to the toilet real quick, cuz I don't wanna discuss the sex-abilities of my current bed mate with two of my past bed-mates,” she said and Caroline drew in an audible breath. Cassie saluted us and took off.
“She slept with the both of you?” Caroline asked, obviously shocked. Zayn just shrugged his shoulders, whereas I looked at her intensely.
“Cassie is a very touchy subject, Caroline, okay? There's a lot more to the story than meets the eye, so I suggest you won't be spreading any of the things you just heard, okay?” I said earnestly. She nodded her head.
“Sure, it's just... wow, I didn't know that, I thought it was just a rumour,” she said.
“I had Cassie first, just for fun, but then Harry here decided to fall in love with her. Won her over in the end,” Zayn interrupted. I shot him an angry look. Caroline looked as if she had just dug up some gold.
“As I said, there's more to the story,” I said between my teeth and dragged Caroline away from that moody bastard. I wouldn't let him ruin my night.
Cassie's POV:
I stumbled into the toilets and rested my hands on the counter, looking at myself in the mirror.

I was feeling the alcohol badly, and that conversation just now had been dreadful. It took my best not to attack that Caroline woman. Even if she was nice, the way she latched herself onto Harry made my insides boil. I splashed some water onto my face and patched up some of my make-up. Time to find some new conversation partners. I went back and searched for Grimmy. I found him chatting away with Niall.
“Lads, we need to have something to drink,” I said while I clung onto Nick's shoulders.
“Jeez, Cass, I let you out of my sight for an hour and you're already wasted? Please tell me you did something naughty!” Nick said and winked at me. I shook my head.
“Nope, I met Caroline,” I stated. He looked at me and then started laughing. I huffed and hit him hard in the arm. “You're rude, traitor. Come on, Niall, you're better company,” I said and grabbed my Irish friend by the hand to drag him away from Nick, who was still laughing. We arrived at the bar and ordered some shots.
“So, how's things with Demi?” I asked casually. A wide grin appeared on his face and for the next half hour, he told me every single detail of why it was so beautiful to be in love with my best friend. I was ready to vomit at the end.
“There you are, can we talk?” someone then interrupted us from behind and I turned around to face Harry. He looked at me expectantly.
“Me?” I asked surprised, and when he nodded I said “I guess so... see you later, Niall!” I waved and Harry grabbed my hand to drag me to the back of the club. We pushed through a back door and he pulled me inside an elevator. We stared at each other in silence before the doors opened and we arrived on the rooftop of the building. It was really freezing, but Harry immediately put his blazer around my shoulders, and I wasn't cold anymore.
“So... you and Kit, huh?” he started off, facing me, hands in his pockets. It was a clear night and I had been gazing to the sky, but now I brought my eyes to his.
“You and Caroline, huh?” I gave back. He didn't say anything and for about 10 seconds, we just stared at each other intensely. You could have cut the tension with a knife, when all of a sudden, he lunged forward and captured me passionately. His mouth found mine with ease, and I sighed into the kiss. My hands went up to his neck while my hips pushed against his groin. I inhaled his delicious scent and winced at the taste of his tongue, which I had longed for those last couple of months.
“I've missed this,” he whispered against my lips.
“Me, too,” I said back and we continued making out in the best way possible. His hands trailed up my thigh, but I began shivering after a few minutes.
“I hate to say this, love, but we should probably get inside,” Harry suggested. I nodded and he took my hand to guide me to the elevator. We stepped inside and I faced him. He brought his hand to my face and tenderly stroked a strand of hair out of my face.
“What now, Harry?” I asked, my voice cracking. “I have to stay with Kit until the show premieres. It's a publicity thing,” I cleared things up. His brows shot up in surprise.
“I don't know, Cassie. I don't know,” he sighed and the doors opened. Silently, we walked down an empty hallway. We stopped in front of the door separating us from where the party was in full mode. He wrapped his arms around me and gave me a soft kiss.
“Wait a little longer?” I asked him when he pulled away. He sighed loudly.
“Looks that way,” he finally said. “But I won't forget you, Cass, don't you worry,” he grinned. I grinned back.
“I'll be thinking about you too while masturbating Harry, thanks,” I said and he chuckled loudly.
“There's my Cassie,” he said and hugged me. “Wanna go first?” he asked and I shook my head. It was his party, after all. He looked at me, a sad glint in his eyes and gave me one last, long kiss before he pulled away and left. When the door closed, I leant against the wall of the hallway and slid down to sit on the floor. I let my shoulders hang and fought the tears starting to take over my eyes. I loved Harry with all my heart, it shouldn't be so hard to find to each other...
I don't know how long I sat there on the cold floor, staring into nothingness, but when Grimmy burst through the door, some time had passed.
“There you are, I've been looking for you all over the place! Come on, it's cake time!” he announced and took my hand to drag me inside. We entered a typical birthday party-scene: Harry was up on a stage, a huge cake in front of him, surrounded by his closest friends while everybody sang 'Happy Birthday'. Nick got up on the stage while I remained in the crowd, standing at the side. Harry looked really happy and his dimples showed more than ever. When the song was over, he blew out the candles on the cake. Everyone cheered and clapped, and I was smiling, too when I saw Caroline step towards Harry and kiss him full on the lips right then and there. My jaw dropped and the crowd began whistling. Harry smiled into the kiss, locked his arms around her waist and dropped her back, making it a full-on Hollywood kiss. My eyes began to sting again and I did the first thing that came to my mind – I just fled. On my way out, I quickly texted Grimmy and called Kit.
“Hey, love,” he started off when I interrupted.
“My place, 30 minutes, bring booze,” I almost commanded and hang up immediately. I needed a distraction, now more than ever.
