Deadly

Elsa coughs and wheezes.
With the incident with the Slayers, for some reason, she got really weak. But she's fought off
millions of Slayers. I have no idea why this perticular bunch made her so weak.
I rub my two hands together and then make a swirling motion with them and a kitten appears at my feet.
"Hey, Elsa." I say softly. "Look what I got you."
"Sidd... I don't like cats." She giggles and goes under the covers. I poke her until she's annoyed
enough to poke her head out.
"Whaat!"
The kitten nuzzles her hand. "Aww.."
"Okay. Medicine time. Open your mouth."
"Noo! I'm fine, Sid!"
I look at her seriously but end up laughing.
"Have you taken a damned look at yourself?!"
She laughs.
"I'm gonna go get you some water." I tickle her before I go on. She jerks her head to the side.
"What was that?" She says suddenly.
"Oh, just a trick of the light." I look at the sudden moving trees.
"Be right back."
I open the doors to our hut. It's in the edge of a tree. We all live in the edge of a forest. We
have a couple huts in trees anyway, too. I'm halfway to the river..

That's when I hear my sister scream. I start to head back when I snap. Dude! Hawk!
I summon a hawk and grab it's feathers and it drops me right next to the hut.
The vampire - I think his name was Louis - anyway, he blocks the exit and hisses at me with
those hideous teeth.
"Let me go, ass!" I yell.
"Fuck no. She's ours now." His eyes twinkle michevously and with the bloody vampire smile,
it doesn't make me happy..
"Why do you need her?! She's weak as shit!" I yell..
"Exactly!" He hisses.
"She's more valuable then you think!"
Then his nostrils flare and he looks like he regrets what he says. I turn furious.
I put my hands in fists then release them and sway them behind my back.
A growl is heard from down there. Before Louis has time to bite my neck - hence, try to bite
my neck and attack - I fall down. I don't even worry.
I feel myself fall on a hide. The growl is no other then a lion's.
"Shit! Did you get her?" I hear him yell.
I tug at the lion's made and grab my hunter's knife. I look in the trees for them, they're like
shadows, dissapearing in one tree to another.
"Sid! They have her!" Ada screams as she clings to the lion, and on my hand. I do the lion hand thing again and tell her to get the others on that one. She agrees and hustles all the pack members on lions.
"Positions! Weapons!" I order.
I spot a shadow-like figure holding something that's yelling and screaming. I shield my face from
Elsa's water. I grin. She's fighting back.
I throw the knife in the woods. It hits something that makes a melodic screech, then begins to scream.
"SIREN!" I yell over the pack's chaos. We drop from the crazy lions (that are now running) and
block our ears.
The singing dies down, but so does the chaos.
I lift my head up, tears forming in my eyes.

Our leader is gone.


Even worse - my weak sister is gone.
